Most famous person you've seen in the flesh?
I've seen the Queen of England, Obama, Michael Jackson.
You?
I've seen the Queen of England, Obama, Michael Jackson.
You?
Probably Hillary Clinton
shareProbably Robert De Niro.
shareBrad pitt, Nathan Fillion, Bret Michaels, Kevin MacDonald, sctv's Dave Thomas, and Joe Flaherty, Bill Goldberg, k.d. lang, and Eric Johnson are all ones I've met through work.
Was on a flight with Ray Charles when I was a kid and he said hello. I dont know who the most famous of those would be.
Oh Mark Mesier had a cabin at the same lake as my grandparents, so I've met him, Wayne Gretzky, Grant Fuhr, and Dave semenko, who were all edmonton Oilers in the 80s. Jason Chimera, who also played in the NHL was my neighbour growing up and we all called him Raisin head freckle face. No idea why.
Besides Brad Pitt (who I too have seen) I don't know those others.
shareNathan Fillion was in Firefly, Castle, now the Rookie. His parents actually live in my neighbourhood and his mom taught one of my friends, and ex boyfriend in high school.
Bret Michaels was the lead singer of Poison.
Kevin MacDonald was in The Kids in the Hall. Dave Thomas and Hoe Flaherty were on SCTV in the 70s. Not really famous, but they kind of count.
Bill Goldberg was a wrestler and was in the movie Santa's Slay.
K.D. Lang is a country singer.
Eric Johnson was Whitney in Smallville, and was in Rookie Blue and the 50 shades movies.

I totally forgot about Michael Ironside. Met him at LAX in 1994. He was really nice.
shareI've met George Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola on separate occasions. Lucas was shockingly short. Very quiet. Coppola was at this wannabe model party with free drinks and was having a good old time in the booth next to me. Models were all over him trying to touch someone famous.
shareHmm, who is the most famous of these folks?
Mick Jagger
Steve Jobs
Elon Musk
Queen of England
Arnold Scwarzenager
Princess Diana
Michel Boujenah
Damn, almost saw Arnie. I was at The Grove in LA and the crowd was dispersing, I asked what just happened and Arnie was interviewed for Extra. I missed him by minutes.
I did get to chat to the "cute Irish guy" (as he was known), the TMZ reporter.
I’ve been to The Grove a few times. Never saw anyone famous there. I saw Arnie at an event on Cape Cod back when he was still married to Maria Shriver. He was not as tall as I thought he’d be.
shareThe last one I never heard of, but the others are all top tier famous.
shareThe last one is big deal in Europe. I know there are some Europeans on here.
shareIt’s interesting how fragmented culture has become since the internet. When there were only a few TV stations and radio stations, the culture was much more homogenous. The same people were known by everyone. Now, you can have very famous video gamers or youtube celebrities that are unknown outside their small niche.
shareYeah, except Michel Boujenah was more famous back in the ‘80s. (I saw him in the mid ‘90s) It’d be the equivalent of seeing Jerry Seinfeld or Eddie Murphy at the peak of their careers.
Otherwise totally agree. I often see unfamiliar names trending on social media only to find out they are bloggers or gamers, etc
