If you are American, what is the most American thing about you.

I’ll start.

My love of ice in beverages.

reply

I have super white, straight teeth.

reply

Yup Americans obsession with teeth is above and beyond any other country.

reply

I know, so superficial. But you will get bullied outrageously as a kid with crooked teeth.

reply

LOL

reply

That's common in Australia. You go to a bar, you'll get ice in your mixed spirits drink. Same at McDonald's/kfc etc.

But I love how American hotels have ice machines. I see that I'm going to make myself a bourbon and coke.

reply

On the rocks??

reply

You know it!

reply

Lol

reply

Canadians put ice in beverages.

reply

Do Canadians dislike tipping? I feel it’s a really dumb USA custom. Pay the server a living wage. They won’t need tips.

reply

Independence

reply

From what?

reply

I’m racist.

reply

Racism has been documented from all of known history. It’s not exclusively an American problem.

reply

I was kidding.
It’s just that America is systemically racist and I, as a white, benefit from this.

reply

Love baseball, love hot dogs, love apple pie, love my Chevy.

reply

Have you ever driven your Chevy to the levee?

reply

That will be the day that I die. I'll bet it's dry.

reply

Whiskey or rye??

reply

Diesel engines,

Mack
Cummins
Caterpillar

reply

Diesel are American?

I’m clueless about the rest.

reply

America diesel engine companies like Mack, Cummins. and Cat.

Rolling coal....

reply

I think Cat moved to St. Louis.

reply

I had the pleasure of driving a brand new Mack truck for awhile. Man and machine merged into one on the road, lol.

reply

Nice

reply

That sounds like an adventurous but sort of hard life.

Were you transporting commercial goods?

reply

Right on both counts.

Believe it or not, dirty laundry, lol.

reply

As in actual laundry or is that a code for something?

reply

The professional vernacular is "industrial linen", e.g. restaurants, hotels, hospitals, uniforms, any business with items needing laundered on a large scale.

reply

Wow! They transport semis full of used linen? You’d think they could find somewhere local to launder it. I could see a union doing that to milk $$$ out with union loopholes.

reply

You make a valid point and that's precisely how I got the job, meaning there's a controversial story to my getting hired. Nothing I want to reveal at this time, maybe on my deathbed, lol.

Nevertheless, it's an unknown, billion dollar industry.

reply

Holy dirty laundry! At least give us a teaser or a movie that covers some sort of similar story.. come on, throw us a bone!

reply

Ok, the teaser..."eminent domain". Hope you don't find it, via Goggle!

reply

Aww man, Don Henley? That’s a let down. Don’t make us wait for your deathbed confession.

reply

I did provide a teaser as you asked. The video is just a bit of spoofing thrown in. From this point on, ask me no more questions and I'll tell you no lies, lol.

reply

Ugh. Well you could at least try and write a nice blind item. ;)

reply

This conversation prompted me to do some online digging of my own and I discovered that the key player creating the controversy passed away just last year. It's been an eye opening trip down Memory Lane. :)

reply

I have 2 trucks that both have the Cummins 5.9 turbo diesel. One of them has 440k miles. You can’t kill those motors. 👍

reply

That's incredible! These are commercial trucks?

reply

One personal and one for work

reply

440K miles is outstanding. Is that normal?

reply

The Cummins 5.9 motor usually has no problem lasting that long, but other parts of the Dodge truck have issues. Around the 3k mark this year model’s interior really starts to suffer and driver’s seats have to be refurbished. Transmission issues are also common by that time. There is a list of things that commonly would have to be changed to get one of these trucks to 440k. The Cummins 5,9 diesel motor is honestly built much better than the Dodge truck it’s placed in.

reply

Interesting. I feel sad that these quality motors are not in solid high quality durable and attractive bodies. They should be.

reply

I'm a fan of the second amendment and Lynard Skynard.

reply

Play Freebird!

reply

Most epic song ever

reply

Shotgun, a rifle and a 4 wheel drive.

reply

AR-15 and a Corvette

reply

That’s a bug gun for that car isn’t it? I have no idea but it sounds like an automatic rifle and that sounds big.

reply

No. It's a perfect combination.

reply

So you drive around really fast on country roads and shoot at stuff?

reply

Lol...no.

reply

City roads?

reply

No. It's just a fantasy.

reply

Do you think it developed from playing computer games?

reply

No. Just a genuine fantasy of mine. I've never played computer games.

reply

And a handy gun rack I hope!
