Trailers that gave away too much?
Was there ever a film where you felt like the trailer gave away too much of the plot...to the point where you would have found the film more entertaining if you had skipped the trailer?

Nothing comes to mind, but I never watch trailers. I'll read the description and decide if it's interesting enough based on that alone.
shareI try to watch as much as is available from certain director’s or actor’s. One of my favorite things to do is to know nothing about the film other than it’s name and whatever’s in its description. I have had some really great experiences going into films blind like that, and I’ve watched many things that normally I would not have given a chance had I seen it’s trailer.
share👍 Completely agree. I do not want to see trailers at all.
shareI can't name anything at the moment, but I know I've seen movies where the trailer gave away all the best parts. It's pretty disappointing when the rest of the movie is "meh."
shareLots of them, but I can't name any off the top of my head because it's been a very long time since I've last watched trailers. For precisely this reason. I saw too many trailers with spoilers. And when they don't have spoilers, they at least pack all the best moments of the movie into the trailer. It's just too much. So I don't watch them.

No, but some trailers for comedies give away the best jokes, so they're not funny when you watch the film.

The short teaser reels that automatically start as you scroll through some streaming services can spoil a movie too
There's one for a slasher movie on Prime right now which shows how half the cast gets bumped off
I can only imagine it's pissy unpaid interns that pull stunts like that
So true. It drives me nuts.
