Night Shift (1982)

Looks good.

Brain Donors (1992): A Marx Brothers/3 Stooges homage starring John Turturo. Get past the first 10 minutes (cringy) and it gets very funny.

reply

Sounds funny.

The Survivors (1983)

Starring Robin Williams, Walter Matthau and Jerry Reed.

reply

Sounds interesting.

reply

So many people haven’t seen The Survivors and it’s my favorite Robin Williams movie.

reply

I saw it last year and it was hilarious. It did not expect it to play out the way it did.

reply

My favorite part is “what type of man gives cigarettes to trees?!?!?”

I’ve heard the downfall of that movie was the incompatibility of Williams and Matthau’s types of humor but I loved it.

reply

Sometimes that contrast makes the movie.

reply

I agree. Like Abbot and Costello, you’ve got to have a straight guy.

reply

dave foley wrote it, stars in it

Wet Hot American Summer (01)

I loved that one. Christopher Meloni was a nutbar! Everyone was perfectly cast.

reply

And Garofalo still had a sense of humor!

Volunteers - A comedy Tom Hanks did with John Candy back in 1985ish about a group of random Peace Corps volunteers in the 1960s. Absolutely hilarious and many people I talk to have no idea what it is.

I didn't tell you earlier because I planned on using it for the Stonekeeper game.. The Paper (1994) has some funny moments, comedy-drama mostly, sprinkled with some satire...
