Anyone else really miss the 90s?
Generally great music, great movies, we weren't offended at everything, we were without many reality shows/reality stars and video stores were a great place to spend some time.

shareI’m not gonna say I miss it, but I’m really glad I grew up in that time. Watching Jackie Brown right now.
shareYes! Ideally, I’d enjoy a fusion of the best aspects of the 90’s (as you cited) with the technology of today.
That would be just about perfect!
I'd actually be happy without most of the technology now. Obviously I'd like to keep technology that would help out people who are sick, but no social media would be great.
shareI’m with you on no social media.
I’ve benefitted from Facebook when old lost school friends have invited me to hang out, so I’d keep the ‘lookup’ and messenger features, but the vanity posting stuff can go away.
Of course, message boards such as this one are welcome!
Every day. But also. I never stopped living like it's the 90s. So... whatever.
shareIt's only recently that I have become nostalgic about the 90s. At the time I thought it was a rather boring time, with some exceptions, like the Gulf War and O.J. Simpson.
But perhaps it was boring in a good way. The economy was mostly good. Except for the brief Gulf War, we were at peace.
In America at least, there wasn't a mass shooting every week.

I miss being as young as I was then, and the music. I don't feel that the movies were particularly better then - maybe because I was less discerning in those days, but I saw a huge amount of trash which was churned out during that period.
shareI think I’ve seen more films from the 90s than any other decade. Lots of favourites there for me.
shareAgreed.
