Anyone else really miss the 90s?
Generally great music, great movies, we weren't offended at everything, we were without many reality shows/reality stars and video stores were a great place to spend some time.

shareI TURNED 10 IN 1991,SO THE 90S ARE MY FORMULATIVE YEARS...HELL YES I MISS EM...THE NO SOCIAL MEDIA THING MENTIONED PREVIOUSLY WAS DA BOMB.
shareI don't "really miss" the 90s. There are things that I miss but then again I don't rate the decade too highly.
I think the 80s stand out as a much better decade.
In the 90s I missed the 80s but I rarely miss the 90s these days.
I think the 90s, retrospectively, have a certain degree of innocence given that it was the last decade before cellphones and internet ruled people's lives. It was also before the whole '9/11 terrorism' theme that defined the 2000s.
The things that I miss about the 90s are the following:
1) lots of video arcades around
2) lots of video stores
3) quality tv shows like Seinfeld and Simpsons
4) good fashion in the early 90s (wasn't a fan of the grunge fashion that hit in 94)
5) people actually knowing what's happening as they'd read newspapers or watch the news (instead of a facebook newsfeed)
6) not so much PC stuff like 'pride month' or any other social engineering on a grand scale (I don't agree with todays morals)
7) some great stars still alive (prince, Michael Jackson, George Michael, Whitney, etc)
If I went back to the 90s besides missing my internet, I'd probably adapt back to it pretty quick.
Fantastic era for music in particular. Had an awesome time in my 20's during the 90's
shareI also miss actual great blockbuster movies without the excessive CGI.
shareYes. I used to think the 1960s was the most creative era for music but looking back, I think the 90s gave it a run for the money. So many new genres and acts came out that it's impossible to pin the decade to any one sound because there were so many. You had everything from bubble gum Europop ("Barbie Girl") and trip hop (Portishead) to industrial (Nine Inch nails) and electronica (Fatboy Slim). That was a truly amazing decade of music.
shareYes, I miss them, even though at the time, I didn't think they were much. Looking back, it was a very exciting, innovative decade. I'm amazed at how many great movies, TV shows and music genres came out during this decade. So much stuff came out that I'm still discovering great albums I missed the first time around.
shareI didn't think very much of it either. I just sort of lived my life. When I look about it now and how much things have changed, I much prefer the 90s.
shareI do! It was an amazing era. I adore so many artists, video games and films from the 90's
