Do you like country music?
I like the more romantic, slow ballads like those from LeAnn Rimes, LeAnn Womack, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, etc. rather than the fast-paced songs.

shareI like Outlaw country, not this corporate and crossover stuff.
shareIs outlaw country like gangsta' rap...serious question
shareI love country music, old and new, slow or fast.
sharetraditional country music is one of my favourite forms of art, i guess you could say. certainly not the bland blockbuster music that i assume still plays on the radio & so on.
in its simplest, most basic form i think country is one of the purest genres of music for three reasons:
1 it sounds nice. there are few things more pleasing to my ears than a simple, spare country arrangement.
2 there is an emphasis on songcraft in country that is lacking in almost all other genres, particularly in recent years, where music seems to have drifted away from structure to focus on rhythm & production techniques.
3 country singers tend to show restraint & sing with a song rather than ululate uncontrollably over-top of it.
This is a good analysis of country music! Thanks!
shareTo be honest, no. Never did. But you remind of a line that belongs in the Best movie lines thread.
