Situation: You got a gun to your head...

...and you are forced to recite a song word for word. If you do it to perfection, you're free to go. If you get one word wrong, the trigger is pulled. What song do you choose to save yourself?

I'm picking the alphabet song.

reply

"Blitzkrieg Bop" I know off by heart, so I'll go with that.

reply

So many of the lyrics are mumbled that you might get away with saying "hitskri baw".

reply

You're right.

I hate The Eagles but I know every word of Hotel California

reply

"twinkle twinkle little star" ... And, I will make sure the gunman seeing stars, by hitting him in the face.

reply

He's got the gun. It has to be a fatal blow.

reply

A knockout blow is enough. It's not clear what would happen when "the trigger is pulled" -- maybe it's just a prank.

reply

Same tune of the Alphabet Song and Baa Baa Black Sheep. Oh wait. We're not singing, we're reciting.

reply

highlands - bob dylan
no way i'm not nailing that...

"I'm So Sad, So Very, Very Sad" by Crash and the Boys (you can find it on the "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" soundtrack, which brings a movie-flavor to the answer for the MovieChat Forum).

The song is literally five seconds long and has but one lyric: "So sad."

After all, the gunman just said recite a song... he didn't set any minimum requirements!

reply

But he could shoot you for trying to pull a fast one on him.

reply

I didn't make the rules... I just interpreted them! LOL

reply

Jingle Bells... the Batman version.

reply

Just a Gigolo/I Ain’t Got Nobody

reply

Can I pick an instrumental? Otherwise I’m dead. How about Tequila by the Champs?

reply

Tequila works. But you have to say it the exact number of times as it's said in the song without looking online or hearing it in advance.
