Actors who seem to always play the bad guy

Or they play a jerk character. I'm not saying that's all they do, but that whenever you see them on screen, they play the bad guy, or some creepy or annoying character.

My first nomination is Danny Webb. I saw him in the premiere episode of Lewis, and he was also in Endeavour and Midsomer Murders. Just seems he gets cast as the character you don't like. I've yet to see him play a good character. I'm not saying he hasn't played one, but I have yet to see it.

Gary Oldman

Jason Alexander was legendary as the manic and stupid George Costanza on Seinfeld and the very creepy Philip Stuckey in Pretty Woman

Jason Alexander plays great jerkfaces

reply

He does! His character deserved what he got in Pretty Woman for sure.

reply

That is a face that deserves a good punching

Touché.

Jack Palance, from his film debut as Blackie in Panic in the Streets.

reply

Oh yeah. He's played some baddies.

Lee Marvin has also had a number of bad guy roles and he's been very effective in them.

I made this observation in another thread awhile back that Christopher Walken, at a point in his career, seemed to gravitate toward roles of the ruthless gangster/mafioso type, as if he had found a comfortable and lucrative niche.

Good one. Do you think Glenn Close is another? What about Javier Bardem? Do you think they fit? Willem DaFoe is another one, I think.

reply

What about Chris Waltz? Bad guy in Water For Elephants, bad guy in Django.

reply

Works for me!

reply

Inglourious Basterds
Waltz is a great baddie!

My favorite is the classic '80s bully William Zabka.

Also really great in "Cobra Kai".

reply

Not someone I'm familiar with, but I'll check him out.

reply

Bruce Dern is another one, I think.

Tobin Bell.
