I Have zero sympathy for demi lovato

I don't buy that she "relapsed" as if she was forced too. After 6 years, she should have been competely sober. She chooses instead to almost throw her life away just to get high.

I feel bad for the friends and family that she treats like shit.

reply

At least you cared.

She needs to make cold turkey her spirit animal...

Lol nice

For me, it's not about lacking sympathy. As a Lovatic, I just feel like we fans always make excuses rather than hold accountable those we stan. And unlike most normal people, Demi Lovato has all the advantages and all the support she could possibly want. She is a human, I get that. But she can't be put in the same category as normal person when you have that much privilege available to you.
Also, I think the fans need to stop being so blindly faithful in general. When Sober was released, everyone was like "Yass! Queen!" and no one made the obvious statement of "Well, if you're struggling with drugs, maybe stop making music and go deal with your issues first?" And I say this as a fan.

You call yourself a Lovatic, how old are you?

Clearly you don't understand how addiction works because it doesn't just go away after a certain amount of time. Its a lifelong affliction - especially with opiates. I bet you'd be singing a different tune if it were your daughter or other family member.

How do you know she treats her friends and family like shit?

quite right.
i really don't know anything about lovato, & certainly had no idea she was an addict, but, like almost everyone i've known people who struggle with such things. i had a brother who basically drank himself to death, for example. surely any rational person would know, and many people had told him, that the right thing to do was stop & pull himself together, & the same is true of lovato i'm sure. if only things were that simple. people are not all the same, we don't all have the same levels of impulse control, & addiction itself isn't something that all are equally prone to.

i think the right thing to do is try to understand & forgive forgive forgive if it's a person in your own life.

😍
Atticus Finch: "If you just learn a single trick, Scout, you'll get along a lot better with all kinds of folks. You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view... Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it."
To Kill a Mockingbird.

I think Buffalo Bill took that advice a bit too far.

😍 LOL! I think so too!

I'd love to see Atticus having a fatherly chat with Buffalo Bill...

spoken like someone has no idea what addiction is.I have a brother who's an alcoholic and who has relapsed more times than i care to remember. It's not as simple as choosing to stop. That powerful compulsive urge doesn't just magically go away just because someone all of a sudden decides to stop. For addicts it's a constant never ending struggle. She had a weak moment. We all have those sometimes.

reply

She has a life and money we can only dream about,no sympathy from me either. She should have thought about her family.

reply

You said it. My mom and my grammy used to always say "There, but for the grace of God, go I." I lost my religious faith a long time ago, but I still believe in the wisdom of that statement. I wish her, your brother and the families all the best in this fight.

I had to google here because I had never heard of her. After checking her out on IMDB, I still know nothing about her, and have never seen any movie she was in.

Allegedly.

If it was that easy to stop your addiction forever then nobody would relapse. Just think about that for a moment
