As a narcoleptic, I occasionally have a problem doing things in a sleepy autopilot mode, almost sleepwalking.
I did this once when I was about 13, when I used hair spray. I was so tired, walked into the bathroom to get the hair spray, and didn't bother turning on the light because it was too bright.
I sprayed my hair and started combing... There was an odd smell, and my hair wasn't reacting correctly to the spray.
I turned on the light and squinted... I had just sprayed my hair with Lysol.
I switched to gel after this.
