Movie Challenge Y'all!!!

Think of a movie you love and post some dialogue...

Offer a hint as to the context, the lighting or soundtrack, describe a scene...
Other posters have to figure out the movie
I will start:
A few dudes are going fishing...
'Were going to need a bigger boat'

reply

I've written a letter to Daddy
His address is Heaven above

reply

Johnny get your Gun?

reply

Great movie but no.

I wish my sister wouldn't keep me tied up with all her nonsense.

reply

oh man i think you kicked my ass on this one!
I have no idea

Leave it posted though...i bet howey swoops in at any moment and nails it!

reply

I'm way too obscure for this.

reply

Ha!
I think you caught me editing again...i usually go back to check my typing ( im very prone to mispells and poor grammar)
Then i read what i posted and 'fix' it so it fits in better with the flow of the convo...
Im awful at this thing of ours
You caught me again lol!

reply

No, you're good.

I just meant my mind seems to work differently.
My clues are too obscure and random.

If anything it will make you think.

reply

FX did a series last year about these two and this movie.

Sam Elliot was in a Marvel superhero movie?!? 😞

reply

I don't think this is the movie twinA was talking about, but he was also in the 2003 edition of The Hulk. He played General Ross, Betty's father.

reply

Didn't know that either. I love Sam Elliott.

reply

He's also the voice of Smokey The Bear in the commercials these days.🐻
"Only you can prevent wild fires"
I just love Sam Elliott. I personally think he gets better looking as time goes on.

reply

No TV, so no commercials for me. But I can totes hear him as Smokey. He's a babe all right, no matter his age.

My problem with all of the Hulk editions is the CGI. Something crucial is irretrievably lost once the character becomes a computer rendering. The 14-year interval between Bana's Hulk and the Hulk in Thor:Ragnarok did nothing to improve the situation, in my view.

reply

[deleted]

They went full retard on the "comedy" front.

Never go full retard.

Seriously, I was expecting to hear a laugh track kick in at any moment.

True, there are superhero movies right, left, and center.

Another reason former film stars are turning to TV is because we're now in the Golden Age of TV. ... Or has it passed already? Anyway, there are a lot more and better TV projects than films these days. I used to be a film person, but have switched!

Such a crazy movie!
Thompson WAS an absolute lunatic

I read a couple of his books...if even half of his stories were true he was the craziest guy ever
