That's not necessarily a good thing. The one thing that really and truly put the fear of God into the Cloud People was the sight of a few hundred Dirt People daring to force their way into the Capitol - a building that ultimately belonged to them anyway. They went into paroxysms of fear, anger, and lashing out over a relatively unimportant event. Continuing to flex on these insulated elitist midwits will drive them over the edge, which is a necessary precursor to effecting their actual downfall.

We're not going to vote our way out of this.

It's not a very cryptic statement. The current political morass,, the mob rule disguised as the more noble-sounding "democracy", and the seeming inability to effect actual political reform, is an indication that it's the system that's broken. Voting harder within the confines of that system cannot, by definition, fix what ails us.

In the unlikely event that he's allowed to both continue living and win the election, I hope he releases every last one of them on 1/20/25. I hope the second he finishes the oath of office, he turns around and signs an executive order pardoning every last one and then delays his inaugural speech until they can all be brought to the podium in limousines and sat in a place of honor behind him.

But then he should have provided them blanket immunity before he left office and he didn't, so I don't hold out hope he'll do the right thing now.
