You are white, just finished a trade school to learn how to help in medical facilities, and have never had a real job in that field beyond your externship. Imagine living in a state that not only practices Affirmative Action, but also has a really bad economy, so there aren't many jobs in that area, despite the local press claiming the medical facilities were in "desperate need" of people like you. Keep in mind you are also competing with other people who are in the exact same position as you, having also graduated from that type of trade school, as well as older, more experienced adults [who aren't always white] who are also looking for work.
Imagine searching for months to find a job in your field, but nobody has answered your applications online, and then you find out, because of the pandemic, that they won't hire you anyway because you haven't been vaccinated.
Now imagine being an unemployed young adult, stuck at home with a very sick parent whose medical needs are draining your other parent's bank account to a degree that's scaring you. If nothing is done about this, your family's gonna end up on the street. You feel ashamed that you can't help financially, as well as not contributing to society. Then you find out that nobody's hiring in your field unless you have the jab. What are you going to do? Do you risk taking a vaccine that hasn't been tested and shows no signs of helping in this new disease, just so you can get a job and help your family? Or stay unemployed and helpless?
