O.K. Hand Sign Is a Hate Symbol, Anti-Defamation League Says...Wait...what?

People are insane

reply

I guess when Buckwheat of The Little Rascals made that sign while saying O-TAY he must have been a white supremacist.

reply

I always had my suspicions about him.

reply

Oh that's good, Dan! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Everything has gotten so out of hand. When they tried to find scandalous things about the Covington boys, they went back to a yearbook from 2012, a year NONE of those kids were in high school then (unless they flunked a lot), they zeroed in on a photo from a basketball game with the boys on the bench doing this symbol, branding them white supremacists. If anyone knows anything about basketball, this is what they do when someone makes a 3-pointer! My kids were on basketball teams in school and it didn't matter what color you were, they ALL did it!

I've also seen this symbol to mean 666, by the way.

reply

This started as a four chan prank. Then real white supremacists started doing it.

Not sure why that should mean it's a "racist symbol". Every time racists take a liking to something it has to be ruined for everyone else?

Also that bowl-haircut that little boys wore in the late 70s is a hate symbol as well because some racist shooter had that style.

reply

Even I have to admit the left gets a little crazy with some of this stuff.

reply

I'm sure white supremacists wave at each other and use a great many gestures like everyone else. Doesn't mean everything they do is racist.

reply

The ADL has always been an unfair partisan outfit masquerading as anti-anti-Semitic crusaders, but this is over the top for them. The silver lining is that moves like this will expose and marginalize them as the increasing lunacy of other once venerated but now anachronistic, hackish groups like the NAACP has them.

reply

Oh wow. They're also after numbers.

Several others are numeric codes that can carry hidden messages, like the numbers 109 or 110, anti-Semitic shorthand that claims that Jews have been expelled from 109 countries and that the United States should become the 110th.

That opens up infinite avenues of wolf crying BS. And there's no push back or counterpoints against this idiocy whatsoever presented in the rabidly biased NY Times article (spread by MSN). It's scary how much control these nutjobs have over society's noise machines and the levers of power. They're far more dangerous than a few white nationalists playing dress up for shock value.

reply

They truly have no material to work with, so they make up something new every day to every week. I'm still waiting for them to call snow "racist."
