They knew their portrayal was so ridiculously inacurate they changed all the names of the characters. so it's total fiction.
People actually do that in real life. Someone could get run over by an 18-wheeler and they'll stand over the body and ask if they're alright.

I was looking for a comment about how stupid the hanging scene was.It defies the law of physics to pull something or someone heavier than you on a pulley.The most that could happen is you'd climb the rope,not to mention all the friction from the bark on the tree branch.
I'm thinking it's Gator Bait 2.
Beans were a big staple in the old west.That's what beans do to you,so this was just an accurate portrayal of life in frontier days.
