I just watched the first episode and I am finding, as usual, the writing to be lacking. Actors, cinematography, choreography, and stunts are just fine, but it seems to be the same as every other show these days--like it was written by someone who doesn't know how the world actually works and people actually behave. If you have to stop and say, "no, that's bullshit," more than three times in the first episode, it isn't a good sign. Starship Troopers, the movie, was satirical. The book however, was definitely not. Both were good in their own ways. Similarly, Fallout TV show tries to be funny, but the game was definitely not. The show dulls the edge of the game to almost pointlessness. Agreed. I think he did well in Shogun. He deserved a better death scene. :-( You should try playing them. They were some of the best games ever made, replayable. Sorry my friend, that is definitely very much part of the later games. It's kind of like the Mafia games, where it sets the tone of the environment. Although, if you were like me, you would turn the radios off everywhere you went, and had the in-game music turned off. :-) I'm not a fan of the music of that time either. Currently on 5. It's OK. Definitely not as bad as Halo, but could be better. 1. Pick up the pace. You're putting me to sleep. More talking...more talking...more...zzzzzz. 2. Get rid of the comedy. This isn't supposed to be "Monty Python's The Holy Fallout." His question was about reality. :-) I should have separated the second sentence for clarity. >The player character can literally be a woman in the fallout games Yes, I know. I'm guilty of doing this in many games, especially when I was younger and horny as shit. >And Fallout has always been semi-silly Honestly, I never really noticed that. The closest I can remember is the dark sarcasm conversation responses in Fallout 4. "Like yeah, I could help you, but I'd rather help your mother first. Fuck you." And the mutants would do worse. >Is It Entirely Realistic That You'd Send A Lone Female out on an initial exploration on behalf of an enclosed society looking to examine how harsh the literal outside world is from their comfort zone? In real life: not without proper recon and training, no. But they turned a dark, violent, serious game into this stupid fucking comedy like Twisted Metal, so it becomes a big piece of "whatever" shit. I just watched this again, and don't remember seeing any full frontal nudity. Then again, I wasn't looking for it. The IMDB parental info doesn't list anything like that either. >This Ripley is truly diabolical He looks fucking creepy as hell. It makes what he does completely unbelievable. No one would have this weird ass creepy fucker hanging around with them. Seriously. Probably because the story is boring. And so the new one is as well. Boring. I am hoping that this was better as a book, because it isn't that good as a screenplay. The plot really isn't as smart as it wants you to believe, and the characters who are supposed to be intelligent scientists tend to act like morons. I am currently agreeing. S1: great S2: great again! awesome! S3: um... Please stop it with the Days of Our Lives: Resident Alien season. It was a test. He wanted to see who would eventually break his rule about such a ridiculous thing. This makes me think about how "The Godfather (1972)" was created, as told in the series "The Offer (2022)". All the times that Al Ruddy refused to obey Paramount, risking his job and career to protect Mario Puzo's and Francis Ford Coppola's vision, proved to be the absolutely right way to do it. And now we have this committee bullshit. You are correct Dakota; we the audience can absolutely sniff it out. Committee filmmaking must end. After failing a 5-10 minute test, I officially rate it as WTFITS, and WTFAIWI. I gave it about 5-10 minutes, about when they started the anti-male message crap. It was difficult to experience, even knowing that her behavior was just part of the big analogy that this movie was. Groan, eyeroll, fast forward.
