A fascinating read. Considering it was mostly filmed in Ireland, with Irish bagpipes on the soundtrack instead of Scottish, the Scots were portrayed as primitive, backwards people wearing the wrong clothes, Mel Gibson's a little weed compared to the real William Wallace, and the battle at Stirling bridge didn't actually have a bridge, there's more reason for Scots to get upset about the film than the English. It's one of the best comedies of the 90's though. Miami Twice was the start of the decline of the show. Del having a doppelganger who was a gangster was nonsense. Awful episode. Nah, Series 1 is piss poor, and Uncle Albert is much better than Granddad. Each to their own. With the exception of Go West Young Man, I think series 1 is poor. It's a shame about the music licencing cuts but at least we've finally got the uncut version of Jolly Boy's Outing with the cabaret singer sequence. Best education system but you still can't spell hilarious. I forgot to mention because I was spilling my guts laughing at the bollocks in your previous post. The Russians killed more Germans than the British and the Americans. The same America that actually helped the Nazis by selling them weapons and oil before and during world war two? PSML. I knew the education system was bad in America but I didn't think it was that bad. There certainly hasn't been another TV show like it. It gets under your skin. The plumber and the baby sketch scared the shit out of me when I first saw it as a nipper. Mental. Absolutely. Cheap and slutty looking but sexy. Both sublime but I think Brass Eye has more memorable moments. This man is having sex with a 10-year-old girl. In our reconstruction, she's played by a 25-year-old woman. The breasts are inaccurate. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Still one of the best pieces of satire ever created. They all come across as decent and down to earth. Ace "Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast" Rimmer. Probably because it was three years after Lethal Weapon and his arse was starting to sag. She is annoying in it.
