Dreamlike quality

Im a big fan of all Morris's work, but I definitely found Jam the hardest to watch, don't get me wrong - its brilliant, but the muzak creeps me out. Its also the way a lot of the characters seem mentally damaged in some way, they talk slowly, and what they say is very random.

The sketch with the family who have just lost a child to miscarriage, and the friend comes round with the minature coffin - its horrible. Not really in terms of content, although it is a little disturbing, just the atmos of the piece.

I think if you watched Jam whilst drunk you could quite easily wake up the next morning not knowing if it was real or in your mind!

In my humble opinion Jam is a completely unique piece of work, nothing looks or sounds like it, and I doubt there has ever been a comedy series as dark as this.

Viva Chris Morris!

Marge, is Lisa at Camp Granada?

I agree, I reckon it's his best creative accomplishment, but not the funniest or all round successful.

it's meant to create a sort of hallucinogenic atmosphere sort of like if you're drugged up

I love it. Its one of my all time fave comedies. To me its like watching a strange dream or a disturbing nightmare. I can only compare it to 'Eraserhead'.

There certainly hasn't been another TV show like it. It gets under your skin.
