Does anyone know if Gibson actually did this, or was it a double? The reason I ask is his butt didn't seem hairy in Lethal Weapon. I realize he could have shaved it, but why not do the same for this movie.

I remembered a long time back during one of Oprah's episode where that question turned up. I can't remember if she was interviewing MG or one of the co-stars but it was confirmed that that was indeed a body double.

It was not Mel's butt. I saw on an interview that it was a double. It was way hairy, and his butt isn't, just look at his real butt in Lethal Weapon.

Probably because it was three years after Lethal Weapon and his arse was starting to sag.
