Interesting! I like a lot of Neil Young's music and those lyrics seemed familar. I am listening to it now and I believe I have heard it before, but would have never guessed it. Thanks again for letting me know!
Thank you! And yes, I know this one now: "Who'll Stop The Rain?" by CCR. I should've gotten that without the extra lyrics...I knew I knew this one! 😃
Thank you! Still not ringing a bell...I will have to do some more pondering on this one! 😃
I've seen a few of yours and feel like I should know a few of them, but don't. I stink at this game, but it's so much fun! 😃 I know some of hownos' and some of chilidoggg's postings, but there's a lot I don't as well. I may have to go back and see if there are still some that I can answer.
I'm off to bed. Have a great night!
Well, like I said earlier, we don't really know if Kevin is Autistic/ADHD, but he sure fits the profile.
And I do disagree with your statements regarding Autism/ADHD. The psychologist who explained it to me was very thorough. Some people's brains and how they process information are different. My youngest son, for example, has a real gift for remembering numbers and math-related information. However, in many ways, he is very much a "normal" 10-year old kid.
The Autism spectrum is a huge one. One doesn't have to be what you described in your post to be "autistic."
Yes! Excellent! He's had a really interesting career as a guitarist/musician...I believe he played the electric guitar on Bob Seger's "Night Moves," if I remember correctly.
I am really impressed you got that...very well done!
Of all the Saturday Night Live cast members, I think Dana Carvey was the best. It's a shame that his movies weren't better...I don't think they showed how really funny he was.
I know this one: "Leather And Lace" by Stevie Nicks and Don Henley. As a trivia question...do you know who played guitar on this song? 😃
Yes, he is...I remember him from the TV show "The Pretender."
OK, last one for now. I know I know this one also, but can't think of it for the life of me. More lyrics, please? Thank you!
Another one I feel like I should know, but don't. Can I get some more lyrics? Thank you!
Another one I feel like I should get, but can't. Can you post some more lyrics? Thank you!
Thank you and yes...I think I know this one now: "L.A. Woman" by The Doors. The "Cops And Cars, The Topless Bars...Never Saw A Woman So Alone" gave it to me! Thank you again!
PS: I also very much enjoy the songs that you post. You post a pretty wide variety of music and I appreciate that. A lot of yours, I don't know. But I appreciate the variety!
I'd say "no" to jumping the shark also. I actually think it got better as the seasons went along.
I think I read that Donna Reed actually threw the rock and hit the window on her very first try (in the famous scene where she and Stewart are walking home after the dance). Jimmy Stewart's reaction is supposedly genuine there!
I agree about her beauty in this movie. George was a lucky guy for sure!
Yes...I remember Willie Parker. He wasn't real big but he was pretty fast, if I remember correctly. I actually don't remember a lot about this game, though. I think Aaron Rodgers was Green Bay's QB then and I remember thinking he'd win several SBs by the time his career was over (I love to watch him throw a football). However, this is his only SB win (and I think appearance) to date.
That was indeed some Series! I'm a Reds' fan, but I was rooting for Boston also (I couldn't stand that Mets' team at the time...however, I look back at that team now with a lot of respect...a ton of talent and interesting characters on that team).
I remember watching Game 6 and how that game played out. It was something...I remember Jim Rice (who was still one of my favorite players) catching the second out that inning by snapping his glove and I thought the Red Sox had it for sure. I think it's come out since then that, even if Buckner had fielded the ball cleanly, he wouldn't have beaten Mookie Wilson to the bag and Bob Stanley (the Red Sox pitcher) forgot to cover first base. That game and Series were so memorable.
Yes, that Super Bowl was a real shocker to me. I think that was Peyton Manning's first year in Denver and he broke just about every record that season. But did they ever get blown away in the Super Bowl. I think that was also the year where they played the Super Bowl in New York City. I actually liked that!
I don't like Meryl Streep either. I will say I liked her performance in "The Deer Hunter" and I don't think I am her "target audience" for most of her movies.
What I found so odd about her Golden Globes speech is that I think Streep was an ex-cheerleader in high school. Why be a cheerleader if you hate sports that much? It was bizarre for sure.
Thank you so much for your kind words and no apology needed!
I think a big reason why my mom was so "anti-alcohol" is that her dad/my grandfather was an alcoholic and he was a "mean drunk." I think he beat up my grandmother pretty good a few times when he was drunk. My grandfather and grandmother both had rough lives...they grew up poor in Appalachia and my grandfather had some really bad things go against him. I never had much of a relationship with him...he was eventually committed to a mental institution and spent the rest of his life in & out of it.
My wife is Ukrainian and she drinks enough for both of us! 😃 Beer is to her as Coca-Cola is to me.
Yes, even though I was raised that drinking is a big "no-no" and I don't normally drink alcohol, I don't think that drinking alcohol will keep a person out of Heaven by any means. I have some close Catholic relatives in my family...they can party with the best of them 😃, but I love them to pieces! I think drinking alcohol is a "personal choice" for a person.
Thank you again...have a great evening!
