Yes...both glasses and contact lenses. "Sha la la la la la...Live For Today!" "Let's Live For Today"--The Grass Roots...great song! Ouch! Playing sports as a kid, I was always told not to get caught "flat footed." I never realized it was an actual condition! My sympathies for you...that sounds tough. When you started the "Lyrics Challenge Game" thread, did you ever think people like me would still be posting on it and enjoying it over 2 years later? FYI, I love the thread and I really have an appreciation for people who love and know music. Interesting! I have really, really ugly big toes...I lost both toenails when I was in college and they never grew back properly. At least you can wear shoes to hide your feet! Thank you! This sounds so familiar...but it's just not coming to me. I'm going to have to do some more pondering on this. Thanks again! If you could change one thing about yourself and/or your life, what would it be? This one has driven me crazy the past couple of days...can we get some more lyrics? Thank you! "Dancing In The Dark"--Bruce Springsteen Yes...when I was in college, my favorite gift I got for Christmas one year were cassette tapes of "Gord's Gold, Vol. I and II." My sister told me later that she and my mom searched for hours trying to find those before they finally did (this would have been around 1989 or 1990). I used to listen to Lightfoot's music all the time in the 90s...such great driving music. I'm a fan of his music (and Neil Young also) and it will be a sad day for me when they both pass. Yes, you make a good point...at least he did acknowledge his shortcomings and faults. Music-wise, it is another huge loss...I love his music. RIP. A talented musician for sure and I love his music...but it sounded like he was a real jerk, unfortunately. He burned a lot of bridges with people close to him over the years. Having said that...RIP and thank you for the music. I watched the first two episodes the other night. My expectations were very low for this (like others have stated here, I'm not a fan of remakes/reboots/etc.). I liked it a lot better than I thought it would. I had never really seen Melissa Rauch in anything before. I thought she was very good...she's likable and I could buy that she was Judge Stone's daughter. But John Larroquette is (and will be) the "glue" that holds this show together. It was nice to see him acting again...I think he's a fantastic actor and he is indeed the "link" between this original show and reboot. The only thing I ask is that they need to have Richard Moll and Marsha Warfield back...even if it's just for cameo appearances, they NEED to make an appearance on the reboot. Overall, the reboot isn't perfect...but I do see potential with this and hope that it will continue to get better. Yes...braces, wisdom teeth pulled, several root canals, several crowns and fillings. Way too many to mention them all...but here are a few that haven't been mentioned yet. Musicians: Jorma Kaukonen (lead guitarist for Jefferson Airplane and runs a guitar camp in Southeast Ohio...I owe so much of my guitar playing/love and knowledge of music to him) Eric Clapton Paul Simon Keith Richards Sports: Jack Nicklaus Anyone connected to the "Big Red Machine" or 1990 Cincinnati Reds (baseball) Dick Butkus Actors/Actresses/Comedians: Jack Nicholson Julie Andrews Carol Burnett Barbara Eden Dick Van Dyke I got mine almost 10 years ago (Apr 2013). I was sore for a weekend, but was OK after that. If you're a basketball fan, try to time it where it coincides with March Madness. That's what a lot of guys do that get them. I think this is "Uncle John's Band" by The Grateful Dead. I looked Juice Newton up on the Internet after making my post...turns out I was wrong about a lot of it. I was thinking she got married and left the music business...she did get married, but it sounds like she never really did leave the music business. And she did have a couple of other hits after "Love's Been A Little Bit Hard On Me." Funny how the mind can play tricks on a person when they get older! 😃 Awesome that you mentioned "Tomb Raider!" The original theme is one of the all-time great pieces of music, IMO: https://youtu.be/fIWLT0QVPzw My brother loved the "Tomb Raider" series...my sister and I would watch my brother play the first 3 Tomb Raider games at various points and we loved it. We never played ourselves, but we loved watching my brother play. He'd get so mad at times when he got killed or frustrated/stuck! 😃 But it was almost like watching a movie...you didn't know what you were going to see next. I have fond memories of watching my brother play. Yes...actually, her big song at that time was "Love's Been A Little Bit Hard On Me" (she saved that one for last), so it may have been 1982 when she played. It was funny...at one point in her show, she was talking in between songs about the song that was her "big break" and we thought it was going to be "Queen Of Hearts," but it wasn't. It was her cover of "Angel In The Morning." I think "Love's Been A Little Bit Hard On Me" might have been her last big hit. I believe she actually got married and left the music business altogether not long afterward...I don't think she was very happy about having to play at our county fair (She was a fairly big star at the time). But she was very nice to me when I asked for and got her autograph.
