When you sign in to this site, you can then click on notifications. When you click on notifications, you see if someone responded to any of your comments, on any thread. You following me so far? I know this is difficult, but try to keep up.
I have the moviechat notification tab open, among dozens of other tabs that are not moviechat, and every once in a while, I notice that tab and I click on the tab. Now pay attention, this is the important part: I then click refresh, and can you guess what happens next?
The TAB REFRESHES!!!!
And then I can see every response, from every person, on any and every thread.

I have a tab open with my notifications. Every couple hours when I notice it, I refresh, and see if there are any responses to my posts. How are you not understanding this?
I'm starting to get the impression that I'm speaking to a waterhead. Is that what is happening here Telmarine? Say it isn't so.
First, it's not crying, it's disgust. I'm simply acknowledging and complaining about the stench that is wokeness.
Second, it IS being shoehorned in. They are not doing it because people want it. They are doing it because the industry has been infected by deranged brainwashed Wokies, freshly indoctrinated from the university, where they learned how to be victims, and how white heterosexual "cis" men are evil. In the woke cult, quееrs are the saints and nobles that must be venerated and worshiped at all times. Slavery is the original sin, that we must all atone for. And racism is the ultimate evil, that must me defeated at all cost. Anyone who doesn't subscribe to the woke orthodoxy will be branded a heretic. And any believer who questions anything will be excommunicated and branded an infidel.
It's this cancer that has metastasized starting in the racial/gender studies department of academia and has spread to the entertainment industry. And now these people have instituted diversity standards that film productions must adhere to, if they don't, they won't even qualify for nominations.The reason it's forced is because the majority of people don't want it. And the numbers bare that out. Most of this woke garbage fails. She-Hulk was a disaster and the Batgirl movie, with a trans POC quееr dуkе girl boss, was so bad that it was completely scrapped. It was already finished, and yet it was going to save them more money just throwing it in the trash. And rightfully so. That's where woke garbage belongs.
You clearly have no idea how quickly the winds can shift. Gen-Z can change.
People are already fed up with the current situation. Things cannot, and will not, remain the same.
The woke degenerates are going to learn the hard way. When the pendulum swings (and it's going to swing), it's going to come crashing down on your fuсkіng heads like a tsunami. It might even swing so far that the girl boss women will go back in to the kitchen and the quееrs back into the closet.
I'm really not. I just had the tab with this thread opened on my browser for the last several days so that I could see if I have any notifications, and respond to them. And when I do respond, out of curiosity, I checked out some of the other threads.
Just a simple confluence of opportunity, curiosity, and boredom.
It's not just about the percentage. It's about who is in the lead, who is the show about, the context the show is made in, etc...
Also, there are two different ways you could represent the percentage. You could for example, simply make 3% of the movies have LGBTQ characters. Or, you could have 3% of every cast be LGBTQ characters. Hollywood has opted for the 2nd one, where they feel they have to shoehorn in minorities into everything. They must all be represented all the time. Sorry, I'm not interested. I don't want every movie/TV show to look like a rainbow flag. I don't mind seeing the occasional movie/show with/about quееrѕ once in a while, but I don't want to see them every time I watch something. Same thing goes for interracial couples.
And this is the context my "selfish" comment is being made. Just a few short years ago we had true diversity. We had movies/shows made for everybody. The bulk of them were for straight white people. Why? Because they are not only the overwhelming majority, they are the dominant culture. In the last few years however, a small group of deranged Wokerati, have entrenched themselves in Hollywood, and are forcing diversity and representation in the industry. And because it's forced, it's very unpleasant. It got very old, very quick. So given the fact that the volume has been turned up from 3 to 11, and I'm way past being annoyed, you can see why I'm all out of compassion for minorities.
Be careful what you wish for. Now that "I know how it feels", may not be such a good thing for you. You assume that people like me will just move aside and slink a way. But there is a flip side to that coin -- the possibility of a backlash. In fact, a backlash is exactly what you are seeing right now. And since we ARE the majority and the dominant culture, I assure you we could do more harm to you than you could do to us.
