A lot of his victims were people that he simply offered money or sex to. I don't think he was ever all that charming, and definitely not like a Ted Bundy.
Oh well then I guess that settles it. Some guy that said "he seemed pretty cool to me."
Idiots or just didn't give a shit? Because they were responding to a call in the ghetto and it was an immigrant Asian kid and some black prostitutes(the movie didn't show this accurately) that made the 911 call?
The ladies recognized Konerak from seeing him on the streets and knew that he was a child. He was 14.
Those cops should be in prison right now. They could have at the very least called an ambulance for him.
You cannot be serious..
The dude was definitely creepy and weird in real life. In his interviews, his face doesn't even show any type of human emotion when he talks about killing, dismembering, cooking, and eating humans.
A LOT of people got seriously bad vibes from the dude. He was reported to the cops numerous times for a reason. Not to mention, he was kicked out of the military, had zero friends, and could only make connections with socially unacceptable people(at the time).
You're just wrong on this one.
I mean..where do you think they get the serial killer stereotypes from?
The cast list shows almost all white actors, aside from 2 whole black people.
There are plenty of cases of forced diversity hires, but this doesn't seem like one of them, unless 2 black people being in a movie ruin it for you.
Well that wasn't very nice.
Hmm..
I know it's fictional and based on a book, but seems kinda perverted and creepy to use the actual Marilyn's likeness in a movie like this.
I didn't understand it either and I don't think you missed anything.
Vell maybe yous jus deendt undestvhant the veeson of das geniush Tomasz Hankzenshmeildov!!
No but seriously, what cartoon did he pop out of?
I like Hanks, but this was fucking embarrassing.
Hasn't happened to me for years, but there was a girl I went out with a few times that ghosted me. I didn't hear from her for about 2 months, so moved on and eventually ended up in a relationship.
One night I get a phone call at like 9pm, and this girl is like "How have you been? I've missed you we should get together!"
And I said "Uhh..I have a girlfriend now."
She acted all bummed, like she couldn't believe I had gone on with my life after those 3 whole dates we had.
Then I was like "Are you fucking serious right now? Have a good night. Thanks for calling, I guess?" and hung up.
After that she sent me like 5 texts in a row about how she had all this stuff going on in her life, and giving me excuses for why she never got back to me for 2 MONTHS.
It was fucking bizarre.
That part didn't bother me, but this show just isn't doing it for me.
I think they are going for humor, but nothing is really funny.
Me? Nah.
I'm not invested in this. I was just curious where the IMDB links are. Apparently they don't show up on the mobile site, but when I switch to desktop mode they appear. Thanks for the info, I never knew that.
The IMDB link doesn't appear to show up when using mobile, at least for me.
Unless I am completely blind.
I didn't say it was right, but you'd have to be living on another planet to think that an actress' ability to land roles in blockbuster movies in Hollywood isn't dependent on their looks.
What?
Julia Stiles, to me, is very unique looking.
She hasn't aged super well, but back in the day she was wifey material. Definitely cute.
I doubt it. She barely even resembles her past appearance nowadays.
I'm pretty sure the thread starter was being hyperbolic.
Honestly a lot of what people were describing as woke seemed less heavy-handed than what I was expecting.
Yeah, she was a bit obnoxious towards the Hulk, but a lot of it felt more like in-family bantering than it was serious. I think they were just going for man vs woman jokes that didn't really land.
Besides, she is obviously proven wrong by the end, being that she did have to Hulk out eventually, and I'm guessing that will lead her back to Bruce at some point with a bit more humility and willingness to learn.
I agree though, the comedy didn't work for me, but it's the first episode and I think the actress is capable of comedy chops, so I'll give episode 2 a chance.
I'm hoping it ends up being at least watchable. I have Disney+ for free right now, but I've been pretty underwhelmed with their Marvel stuff. If this doesn't do it for me I'll probably just let it expire at the end of next month.
I haven't picked it up again yet.
I think you're touching onto something there when you say it's not like the movie. Maybe I'm being too harsh on it because comparing with the movie, it's just not in the same ballpark...
I'll give it another shot though.
