It’s not even the cringe wokeness that it problem. It’s just not funny

Isn’t this suppose to be a comedy? Every joke they tried - fell flat.

I watched first episode to made up my mind after all the publicity. And I don’t see any reason to continue.

Main character is not a nice person. Her aggressive demeanor against Hulk was uncalled for. She kept trying to bring him down when he just tried to explain and navigate her through her new life. But she was just like: "Whatever boomer. Your rules are stupid. You now nothing. I know better. See ya, grandpa". Then tried to beat him up when he was asking her not to leave.

And she wasnt even some stupid 16-years old teenage idiot. She was an adult 35 years old woman. An attorney. And didnt want to listen to what he was telling about his own experience as being Hulk.

This show just screams superficiality.

Apparently, She-Hulk is perfectly in control of her anger. No challenges, no character development or growth…etc.

I was hoping that something would happen in the courtroom that shows her humility and that she needs to listen and learn.

But, no. She is the perfect Hulk and doesn’t need anyone to teach her anything.

They are making the same mistake they made with Rey. She’s just a Mary Sue.

I agree with you about the first episode but I’m willing to give it another shot to see if it gets better. I didn’t find it funny at all and I agree the character came across as having an attitude. She was unnecessarily rude and condescending.

Honestly a lot of what people were describing as woke seemed less heavy-handed than what I was expecting.

Yeah, she was a bit obnoxious towards the Hulk, but a lot of it felt more like in-family bantering than it was serious. I think they were just going for man vs woman jokes that didn't really land.

Besides, she is obviously proven wrong by the end, being that she did have to Hulk out eventually, and I'm guessing that will lead her back to Bruce at some point with a bit more humility and willingness to learn.

I agree though, the comedy didn't work for me, but it's the first episode and I think the actress is capable of comedy chops, so I'll give episode 2 a chance.

I'm hoping it ends up being at least watchable. I have Disney+ for free right now, but I've been pretty underwhelmed with their Marvel stuff. If this doesn't do it for me I'll probably just let it expire at the end of next month.
