He started out really good. In the early 2010's there were two horror directors I told people to keep an eye on. Mike Flanagan with 'Absentia' and 'Occulus,' and Ti West with 'House of the Devil' and 'The Innkeepers.' Mike Flanagan keeps getting better and better. Hopefully Ti West will impress again, at some point. Pffffff, it's different for everyone. I'm 43, and barely have a few strands of grey around the edges of my beard. I had a good friend whose entire head was grey by 9th grade! I don't feel sorry for him though, because chicks LOVED IT. That kid got so much play from girls back in the day... it was ridiculous. His baby mama, Walt's mother, was the most evil character on the show. Prove ME wrong. Help me dig these crack rocks out my aaasss. I haven't watched this show since "the transition." Regardless of what Ellen did to herself in her personal life, she should have been professional enough to continue playing Vanya as female onscreen, to preserve the character's integrity. I have no interest in ever watching "Viktor." Did you know that that same actress played Danny DeVito's young daughter in the 1994 film 'Renaissance Man', and almost 20 years later played his drunk, crack-addicted prostitute girlfriend Roxy on 'Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia'? Fair enough!👍 "I don't even care about the plot." Clearly. Good for you... Holy shit, lol. OK, sorry you think we are enemies... somehow. Yes, I must be a troll, with the blandest taste ever, for recommending one of the most classic films in the modern age of comedy, that hundreds of millions of people adore and watch anually. But you're clearly right. "Fat Guy Fall Down Over and Over" is clearly the superior film. I guess history will judge who's right, dummy. Okie doke. I guess it's just a matter of taste, and depends what you're looking for. I love 'Tommy Boy,' but at the end of the day, it's just a dumb slapstick comedy. 'Planes, Trains and Automobiles,' like pretty much all John Hughes films, is a pretty even mixture of hilarious comedy, and also very heartfelt drama. Its a waaaaaayyyy better movie. You are definitely missing out. It's a classic, and it's also the only classic Thanksgiving movie I can think of. At Christmas there are a thousand Christmas movies to put on with your family, but at Thanksgiving, PTA is the one to watch! Well yeah, it's definitely not a "direct copy," which you put in quotes even though no one in this thread ever called it that. The poster you originally replied to just said that it copied several other unspecified movies. But if you do actually watch both, PTAs influence is ridiculously obvious. And again, Spade and Farley themselves openly talked about how much was borrowed from that film. I don't know what movies that poster was referring to, but 'Planes, Trains and Automobiles' is definitely a big one. In fact, when 'Tommy Boy' was first released on HBO back in the 90's, i remember they had a 30 minute "behind the scenes" featurette, where Farley and Spade were talking at great length about how much they borrowed from that movie. Their whole goal was to recreate the "goofy fat guy and uptight skinny guy trapped together on a roadtrip" dynamic that John Candy and Steve Martin created. K, good luck with that. Agreed. I was very impressed at how neutral the moderators managed to be for once. I had to work late, and was exhausted, and didn't vote at all. If I had been able to, I would have voted for Trump. Remember when your party used to represent the normal, working class people of this country? Pffffffff, not anymore. Coastal, upper class, snobby elites. That's you now 😉 Newsome just might be the only prominent Democrat politician with a worse actual track record on policies and results than Biden. Newsome has absolutely destroyed the once great state of California. I've lived here my whole 43 years of life, and since he's been in charge... EVERYTHING is shittier and I want out. Everyone I know wants out too. Anyone outside of Cali... do NOT vote for this charismatic used-car-salesman-looking asshole, if he is EVER in the running for President of the USA. You will regret it, I promise. I'm not even super political, but I'll be voting for Donald Trump, for sure. I was EMBARRASSED watching Biden tonight. He was hilarious. I can't believe this is the only thread on his board. "Tennis is a weird sport, because no matter how good you get at Tennis, you could never be as good as a wall. I played a wall at Tennis once. It was fucking relentless!"
