It was published and there's also an audiobook of Ellison and friends reading it and other versions of the script.
A lot got changed between the original script and the version of the script that eventually shown. I can't remember if anything regarding this was mentioned but it's possible that there was as the original is a much tighter script.
Another similar movie is Tokyo Fiancee.
Sixteen years later and still no sign of a sequel.
Season 3 opens with Picard in the sonic shower. It was all a dream.
Why are replying to fact check my answer like this was an exam or something? So weird.
A black belt doesn't mean much. His form is terrible:

It's been a while since I read any Elvis stuff but from what I recall, he wasn't always easy to get along with and liked being the centre of attention. For example, the famous Elvis shooting the tv thing was because a guy who had been dating Priscilla after she broke up with Elvis came on the screen. Elvis had a lot of women in Germany, not just Priscilla. He even had a spare room for the women to share! A lot of the women he dated throughout his life looked uncannily like his mother. Elvis was heavily into numerology and that type of stuff. Then there's the weird solo trip he took on a commercial airline to become a drug "agent at large" for Nixon. He loved doing karate and incorporated it into his shows despite being terrible at it.
I recommend you read the book "Elvis and the Memphis Mafia" by Alanna Nash as it has a lot of interesting details as told from the guys closest to him.
That would be amazing. Pretty surprising no one has done a trippy Elvis movie yet unless the estate is preventing it somehow. Just think how fun it would be to see Elvis tripping when he jammed with The Beatles.
Things I liked:
- The focus on the Colonel. Originally I didn't have much interest in the movie as it seemed like yet another Elvis biopic but focusing on the Colonel brought something new. The title should have been "Elvis and the Colonel" though as it's a bit misleading.
- Austin Butler did the voice and most of the mannerisms pretty well.
Things I didn't like:
- Tom Hank's accent. No way anyone would have believed he was an American if he had spoken like that.
- So many scenes looked like a something you'd see in a Photoshop tutorial.
- The music. I got the feeling they just wanted to sell some new material and target people that wouldn't be interested in Elvis because of accusations he stole from the black community.
- Austin Butler never quite looked right without the glasses on.
- The movie was too soft on Elvis. He could be a total jerk at times, was pretty vain, and had some weird beliefs, all of which make him a much more interesting character.
- Historical inaccuracies that felt unnecessary.
I have seen all her films. My favourites are I’m No Angel and She Done Him Wrong. I also have a soft spot for Klondike Annie though it probably wouldn’t appeal to most.
Time travel would make a lot of sense because the last movie revolved around Indy seeming out of place in the 50s. They would have to do the same thing again or ignore the time setting completely which doesn't really work. The original movies have a high amount of 30s nostalgia which people associate with Indy.
They wouldn’t do Atlantis as that’s the plot of an Indy game. Would cause too many copyright issues.
Everything else. All the other shows, all the other movies. I have seen everything else (excluding the last year or so) and did enjoy most of it but nothing compares to TOS.
I think they were based on Mari Lwyd (weird Welsh Christmas tradition).
I just finished watching the movie and I feel the complete opposite. I would have preferred if it had been even more episodic and cut out the "big bad" altogether. Having a string of robbery close escapes involving various historical situations (though less tired obvious ones than Napoleon and the Titanic) would have the made the movie much more rewatchable. Time traveling dwarves stealing treasure, what more could you need? Plus God showing up from time to time would have been enough glue to hold it all together.
The best segment by far was the Sean Connery part as it was very touching (the magic trick was clearly a bonding moment). Episodic doesn't have to mean it can't have depth. Apparently it was originally supposed to be him that got crushed but I prefer it that they never saw each other again and I would have also cut the house fire part completely.
I do agree though that the characters needed to be fleshed out. Perhaps a smaller number of dwarves would have made this easier.
I'm not planning to watch season 3 but watched this out of curiosity.
The cast look tired, there's yet another enemy looking for revenge, Lore (or another not-Data) is there, and Moriarty shows up. Nothing appealing for me. Seeing Moriarty made me think I'd love to see Pulaski again but that's never going to happen.
Oh dear, have his performances been that bad? I don't follow him much and thought he seemed ok in Picard but his story input and the plot in general were lacking.
Harrison Ford on the other hand hasn't looked happy in a movie for more than a decade and is well overdue retiring. Makes me wonder if he has some pack with the devil forcing him to continue acting.
I didn't start watching the second season until I saw the reviews that the opening of the second season was a huge improvement. Most Trek shows have a terrible first season and then improve on the second so things seemed to be on track.
I kept watching after things got bad because I expected them to wrap up all the plot lines in a satisfying way. I also thought some of the characters showed potential.
I'm not planning to watch season 3, no matter how good the reviews might be.
I suspect this will be the same for me. Since I made the OP, I watched two random DS9 episodes because I had them downloaded on my hard drive from ages ago but they barely held my attention. I have the same blah feeling when I think about the other shows.
TOS on the other hand was always my favourite and I suspect that if I warm to Trek again, it will only be to that. I never even cared for the TOS movies much as Kirk feels out of character to me.
