Thanks. It makes sense. As I recall there also may have been some slight distance because he had discussed Michael's future with his father before Michael joined the army and Michael was not thrilled about that. Ya, the first battle: 40 versus 6 (Doesn't Lee sit it out?) doesn't make sense. Too many "misses". Should've started with 60 versus 6, then 20-25 kills among the 60 would've made sense and we need at least one of the 6 with a minor wound. Also, Calvera letting them go free AND giving them their guns after they'd killed so many of his men?? Not to beat a dead horse but think of the timing of Sonny’s murder. If memory serves, they relied on Connie calling Sonny at a particular time (because the ambush was set up), then Sonny going by himself through the Causeway and as we talked about, no guards nearby, then enough time for the killers to leave before anyone else arrived. A lot left to chance? It has been restored and it is jaw dropping I think the final scene doesn’t makes sense in the context of the entire series. When were we ever left to wonder what happened? In fact the series was in some ways about the logistics of everything. What people did, how they did it and why they did it. The Sopranos left us with a non-event. Ozark left us with a hidden event. Why? So we can wonder what happened and never really know? Mad libs… The only thing that actually makes sense is at some point there will be a continuation. Ozark SPOILERS Although the final season held my interest, it ultimately was a disappointment. Yes, I understand the sentiment that Ozark is an accurate reflection of the fates of most of the have’s and most of the have-nots. For me, all I have to do it watch the news and politics to see that the “have’s” win almost all the time and rarely face the consequences, at least legally, for their actions. How many decades (about 6) has trump been breaking the law? Here were the problems/questions I have about the final season 8 new characters: Javi, Camilla, Clare, Mel, Wendy’s dad, Ruth’s partner, priest, FBI gal: I know Ruth’s partner was in the show early on but the introduction and reintroduction so many characters didn’t work for me. Why was Javi a psycho? Who was Camilla? I liked Mel but his back story was to brief. Car crash no injuries: I’ve seen the idea that it was a metaphor for the Byrd’s being bullet-proof but that didn’t comport with the series which for the most part was a series of situations and trying to logically deal with them. They gave it extra weight by teasing it in the first episode of the final season. The lack of injuries took me completely out of the story into fantasy land. Ruth approaching car: She’s too smart to approach a car that is standard cartel unarmed. Killing of Navarro: I guess the story’s going to be, Navarro got a hold of the gun, killed the one guard and tried to escape? Clare’s’ bodyguard disposing of body?: That’s what Clare said. Was it part of her lie? Must be a loyal employee. Clare and the Byrd’s should’ve had a story of Javi’s demise prepared. Surely they could have implicated someone thy actually wanted targeted by Camilla. No back entrance to Darlene’s: She’s got tons of land and I assume she doesn’t move her drugs through the front gate yet there is Ruth driving through the front gate with the intention of loading drugs with the FBI right there. Charlotte wanting to go with grandad: I know she had an explanation but I All the Presidents men: Since you have seen it so many times, I was wondering what you thought of a particular scene. I always thought Redford was a decent actor but there is a scene when he’s in the office on a phone call in which I think he is brilliant. Thanks! Another thing I wondered about. When Sonny leaves for the causeway, it seemed he was followed relatively closely by family members (with the presumed purpose of catching up with him or at least following closely) yet it seems like at least 30 seconds from the time he is shot until the family car arrives. It also seems by the time the car arrives, all the killers have left. Was that car detained as part of the plan? Thanks!! Obviously a lot more to it than my simplistic take. Makes sense. I am sure you can but I am also sure I would never know for sure if they were rehabbed and therefore could never trust them. The Flying Dutchman What I wonder is the purpose of calling in that last time. Is it to update Omaha on their status? Get alternate orders? They are instructed to call in for a reason. Is it even possible they could be given order to bomb an alternate site, sparing Moscow? I did this on purpose. I turned off the color for Psycho 2. Decent movie but in B&W in felt much more like a continuation of the original and I think made it better. I did this on purpose. I turned off the color for Psycho 2.
