Just gotta hope he was better at that than he was at kissing This post cracks me up. Getting her off on a rollercoaster is mentioned first, as if that's by far the worst thing he does in the film, like almost killing her family is just an afterthought. Sorry - I guess it was written that way to keep with the chronology of the events of the movie, but it just tickles me! I always thought he had and admitted to it when Tony pressed him. Maybe I've remembered wrong, or that i interpreted the part where he shouts "who cares" as an admission - if nothing else, he'd stopped denying it when he said this. Anyway, what i was going to add in this thread is that, earlier in Season 4, Tony was present when Ralph speaks to Johnny Sack and attempts to deny that he'd made the joke about his wife. (1) similarly, when he says "if that's what it takes" (re apologizing for the comment), Tony damn near face-palms as he knows Johnny will take this as an admission of guilt. Which it is. (2) and more crucially, Tony had seen and heard first hand Ralph lying and denying something he's really done, so knows what 'tells' to look and listen out for when he confronts him about the horse. In addition to the earlier answers, there also seems to be someone in the room passing messages between Tattaglia and Barzini (one of them whispers something to this messanger, who then goes and whispers to the other one). The camera shows Vito as his eyes follow the messenger, or flick between the 2 mob bosses like he's at a tennis match. I think there's also a moment where Tattaglia looks to Barzini before agreeing to something, and only when Barzini nods does Tattaglia agree to this. The camera then cuts to Vito, who has picked up on this but has to hide his reaction at the time. Plus, as Redban says above, Barzini seemed to control the meeting and was doing a lot of Tattaglia's negotiations for him. Most people in that meeting might not have noticed this as they'd only be focussed on what was being said and what deals were reached. As Bourbonking says earlier in this thread, it shows how perceptive Vito is that, even in his recovery state and getting out of his sickbed to attend this meeting, he's able to read the situation so well. Vegas got to Nicky. Maybe it got to all of us. The T-1000 only had to shoot him once. The old Nicky, it woulda had to shoot him 3 times before he went down Yeah. I get that it was done for suspense (making tony late with the phone call and swann nearly leaving because of it etc), likewise margot saying "hello" about 15 times when she answers is a bit unrealistic but again adds to the suspense Ha ha yeah and the conversation immediately before it with Bodie's crew I....AM SCARED.... the only person this is a game to is you Etc Let me know if you find Jimmy Hoffa under the seat while you're at it But did Tyler know that Bodhi and his gang were bank robbers? That's something I've never thought before. How well she knows them, or even how long she's known Bodhi for, is never revealed. She certainly didn't seem to be part of their plans to travel on the money. In fact i don't think she even knew that they were about to leave. Therefore i'm assuming she didn't know about their criminal activities. I figure her and Bodhi were just a fling that summer. He travels around a lot and doesn't get too serious - understandable given his lifestyle. Like dancinginthedark says above, it was more about his deception and betraying her trust. Using her parents' death as an "in" was especially low I didn't like that they just cut straight from this to them arriving at the tournament, so we don't know what happened in between - did people try to reach out to Tori after she'd walked off? had she just disappeared? etc Maybe it'll be explained in the 2nd half. It feels like they had this idea that they'd end the first half with Tori lining up for Cobra Kai, but weren't sure how they'd get there, and then ran out of sceeen time to build it up properly, so just had to jump to it at the end. Problem for me is its intended dramatic impact falls flat because it was obvious that Tori would appear with them. It was so predictable, which is a pity because the show used to be great at anticipating what the viewer was expecting and then doing the opposite In addition to the answers already given, i think also what krese said about how nepotism would mean she'd always be in Sam's shadow at miyagi-do also got to her when Daniel stops the fight with Amanda's encouragement. Johnny doesn't help when he then questions their claim that it's nothing to do with Sam being their daughter. And even before the fight got broken up, Daniel was protesting that Tory should be docked a point, something i doubt he'd have done if the opponent was anyone other than Sam or Anthony. I thought they all should have graduated in season 4. They even had their prom (unless they'll get round it by claiming it was junior prom?!). Series one covers one academic year (although there seems to be a huge timeslip between halloween and the end of the school year!), two covers that summer, three covers the following autumn, four spring and five summer. Like you say, if they're still in school now, they're at best 17, which means yas and sam were driving at 15. Then again Landry was driving when he was 14 in friday night lights ! He also utilised the cocktail waitresses Well they eventually did that when they sent him to Vegas, and to be fair he did seem to be prospering there until Michael decided to buy Moe Greene out and move there himself, leaving Fredo once again in his family's shadow and too close to the action for his own good It's a carbon copy of the score to 48 Hours. James Horner wrote them both so is allowed to rip himself off! And David Patrick Kelly's in them both Quite a few security guards at the mall were also shot or badly maimed What happened to Jenny's therapist? I let him go Was just going with how it was spelt in the title of this thread for continuity, and also because i thought maybe the writer of the o/p knew something i didn't! I have now duly amended my post I thought the same thing - the film is like an American's fantasy of life in England. Ironically the English press were critical of the film for that reason, even though they fawn over Curtis' films when he has no excuse! In the case of this movie, i can forgive a lot of it because it was originally supposed to be filmed (and set) in The Hamptons but was relocated to London because of funding. The story makes a lot more sense when you imagine it taking place there. I figured it was an impromptu invite as a thank you for all the happiness and entertainment they'd brought. Instead, i find it hard to believe none had them had anything better to do for the rest of christmas day
