It was. The woman went home with her child that night, and her boyfriend got arrested for meth. It is back in reruns, on Reelz, under the COPS Reloaded format. There's also a 24/7 channel devoted to COPS episodes from the Spike/Paramount Network era. Is he the officer with the long beard and bandana around his head, kind of looks like a motorcyclist? He also was angry in the segment where the woman nearly ran her boyfriend over in the strip mall parking lot. The boyfriend was a meth addict and dealer, and he was kind of whiny the whole time and was worried about their child. At least he was back to his usual self once he got control of the situation. Yeah, that's the one where Ryan was angry at the beginning, and it's unusual for him to get that angry. Even the officers I really like can be angry sometimes, but they're human. Two ones from episodes I saw a few days ago: The one from Fresno from season 18 where the Asian woman got beat up by her boyfriend who threatened to kill her. The SWAT team arrives at the house and the man is taken into custody without incident. The Woman returns home and is very relieved when he's arrested. Also from season 18, the one in Vegas where the man in the slightly long hair threatened to kill his girlfriend outside an apartment complex. Ryan Cook was the main officer and it started with him noticing a woman being grabbed in the same area. The girlfriend also wrote a letter about the abusive relationship. Agreed. That was a funny segment. I thought the deputy, Kenneth Voiret, was very calm and cool dealing with her throughout. Love them both, but prefer Billy. Seen him in concert a few years ago and put on a great show. Saw a band called the Lords of 52nd Street last year before the pandemic, which is his former band, and met all of them after the show. Liberty Devito was especially friendly to me. I can't remember if he was about to be evaluated for something. Morgan's backup officers handled the situation very well and also liked their sense of humor. I liked how Morgan treated the little boy. Didn't get mad at him or scare him. Loved that he got the sticker at the end. Hope the boy is doing better now as an adult. Here's a few officers who are deceased who appeared on COPS: Mike Hoffman:Broward Co, season 1. Walter "Kent" Mundell, Pierce County, season 17. Craig Mendenhall, Portland, season 16. Bob French, Sacramento, seasons 23 & 24. Keith Gray, Fresno, season 9. Rick Lee, Brevard County, season 20. Lance Whitaker, Jacksonville season 16. That stuck on the tracks segment was a classic, and Joe handled it with class. I liked that he showed his lunch on the dashcam at the beginning of the segment. Just seemed like a real nice guy. His obituary mentioned his level-headedness and sense of humor. His funeral was streamed on the internet. The one officer recalled a story in which Morgan knew he was going to be on TV but was also on duty at the same time. He resolved a dispute quickly and within minutes, was at his house with his family watching his appearance on COPS. I was very shocked when I heard he passed. I'm not sure how many cops featured on the show have since passed. I've heard of a few others besides Morgan. I don't like it when officers interrupt suspects either. It's been a while since I've seen that segment. He was a little impatient but not too bad, he seemed cool for the most part. Yeah she looked very rough. I'm hoping she got clean. The young woman who was a heroin addict from Glendale, Az. who was passed out standing up. She tried to flee and was also surprised that the boyfriend wasn't also arrested as the cops yelled at him to get out of the road. She only got a ticket and was on her way after that. This was from season 27. The Palm Springs woman who was with a Hispanic guy at a casino. She tried to throw part of his meth in the trash and was ordered on the ground. She had a pretty invasive search when that happened. She was let go and was warned not to do anything stupid again. This was from season 18. I'd guess it's music licensing as to why no DVDs have been released. I'd get them in a heartbeat too. I don't know why the seasons haven't been released, just best of DVDs.
