I too didn't feel sorry for the suspects but didn't like Clark's attitude throughout.
That was one of the saddest segment I've seen. I felt very sad for the suspect when he broke down crying, knowing that he was going back to prison, with no choice or say in the matter. I agree that he should have gotten treatment.
Yes, they were in a station wagon and were gang members, and yes, 2 other black males ran out of the vehicle which prompted Clark to yell, "Stop!" repeatedly.
He probably robbed for more drugs, that's my guess.
Another segment where I thought Clark was a jerk, was the one from season 17 where the two black males started shooting at another man. When the two didn't put their hands up when ordered to, he threw them to the ground. I didn't have a problem with that, but he seemed very arrogant and aggressive throughout.
I was glad they caught him too. I don't think I heard the suspect say anything except whine very loudly. I too agree he knew he was in so much trouble because of what he did. He apparently went to the store regularly and often wore the same clothing. I don't know what caused him to snap.
Genuardo didn't appear in any other episodes, to the best of my knowledge. I'm glad Clark didn't deal with him too. There's a 50/50 chance he'd be a jerk, in my opinion.
I didn't have any problem with Genuardo. I didn't feel sorry for the suspect at all. I didn't pay attention to him when the suspect was whining, although I do like it when cops show empathy for even the worst criminals. It shows their human side, in my opinion.
Yeah, I liked Chris Wessman. He was the officer in that segment.
Yeah, she was probably the oldest 34-year old I've ever seen. Most people still have relatively young looks at that age. I felt very sad for the children too. He definitely handled it very well too.
I liked Ryan in that segment. I liked a few of his jokes too like "I don't need to pat you down" or "motorists will be honking their horns". I liked Ryan's statement at the end about how much he loves Vegas. Despite being a Chicago native, you can tell he loves Vegas so much!
What was the drug trafficking segment from?
I've seen that episode before. That was definitely child neglect. I know the kids were sad about their mother going to jail and even the officer didn't want to, even though he had to for their safety. I know he wasn't happy and definitely knew something wasn't right.
I'm sure she served prison time with all the meth she had.
I'm betting he might have been under the influence at the time. I also noticed the Officer told him that he wasn't going jail, and then they put cuffs on him, so he could have been angry because of that.
That other episode was from season 19. It's the same episode where Ryan Cook stopped the two women in bikinis in their car.
When I saw the segment the first time, the only thing I remembered was that he just moved slightly and got tased. Now that I think about it, it was probably justified.
That other segment you mentioned was slightly hard to watch, because of how intense the fight was, the weird things the suspects said during the fight, plus he was being arrested simply because they found drugs on him.
There was also one where they stopped 3 males outside of a bar for loud music, the officers inspect the vehicle and quickly find a gun on the one male. A struggle happens, and they later learn the man was wanted for a shooting a few years prior.
I thought that was a bit inappropriate use of a taser.
I didn't like the one in Cincinnati where the black guy fled in the car and then on foot. The guy eventually stopped and he didn't do anything when he was tased. The guy was complaining throughout after being placed in the back of the car and talking about how he had lots of kids. Drugs were found too. It was from season 19. It was the same episode where a husband and wife had an intense argument over drugs at their apartment complex.
I too was rubbed the wrong way by Clark. I think when he screamed at the suspect's mother/wife was the worst.
I don't know if I would handle having a gun put to my head during a warrant very well. I'd probably cry too.
Could you give me examples of unjustified uses of tasers, in your opinion?
Brian did occasionally have a sense of humor, but I always thought he was a bit of a jerk. I'm guessing he would never handle dangerous situations all that well.
The Phoenix episode would be interesting to find because of how there's been so much controversy with excessive and deadly force these past few years. They all seem like ones that could potentially be trigger happy, and injure or kill someone who might be cooperative.
I don't like officers who scream all that much either, I like officers who are very cool dealing with suspects, I think officers should only scream when they're in immediate danger. I think it's worse when they scream at people who did nothing, like Brian Clark did to that woman in season 17.
I don't blame the female officer for screaming the way she did. I do hear that child molesters get treated very badly in prison as well.
I haven't seen that incident in awhile. That Portland segment was very intense. I heard the male suspect just got out for rape not long before the segment was filmed. I didn't have any empathy for him.
Which season 16 episode is that? what other segments were in that episode?
Yeah. Lower seemed to be a jerk in that segment too. I liked him better in season 11.
