I thought it was specifically the armwrestling move he does against Smasher and Bill Hurley and that his son does against the punk: where you adjust your grip mid match and put your fingers over the top of their thumb giving you move leverage. Right when his son does it he’s all “that’s it, Mike, over the top!” Oh yeah I forgot about Oscar. No mention of his name either. Was a semi important character as Vigo planned to use him to live again. But then again the whole Vigo thing never got mentioned. Sad to hear about the twin. Always love seeing that phrase lol. Sadly never heard it in person tho. Ok I don’t like that fucker either but damn dude… Awesome that they put the toaster in! Curious what else they had in there, even if as subtle as the toaster. I kinda wondered why they never mentioned the Vigo event when they kept bringing up all the famous supernatural events. I’m with you on suspending belief for the purpose of enjoying a fictional story. But how far does that go? I’m fine with vampires existing in the story, magically seeing worms/maggots, death by stereo, garlic don’t work boys, I could go on… but the wooden posts through max because Michael hears the horn and knows grandpa will come crashing in? Come on now Ok yeah you're right about him not holding down a job. When he first sees the kids at the bus stop the oldest already knew it must be because he lost his job. So point well taken there. I still gotta say though, as crazy as this plot would be in real life, the movie still does a good job of making Daniel look like the good guy and making Miranda very unlikable, at least that’s how I always saw it. I kind of take the trashing of the other parent as a given, as wrong as I believe it to be. My prob with the mom was she calls it quits. We hear her spout all the examples of things the dad does that piss her off but the movie doesn’t really convince me the marriage needs to end. Daniel obviously wants to save the marriage with counseling, vacation trip, moving, anything he can think of to keep the family together and all that bitch has to say is ”it’s too late for that”. We didn’t have cable growing up and we had this movie play on vhs repeatedly at our house and I think that it caused me to despise divorce or at least despise the instances involving kids and one parent wants out simply because they are “not happy”. You’ve-a-vagina Doubtfire Easily my favorite In case anyone’s wondering, it kicks ass. I hope this has been made clear. Rewatched today and thought it was weird that they never give an in-movie explanation for how he’s just at the hospital when he’s supposed to be home. Also didn’t think it was really clear how close the therapist’s office was to the house, almost as if it was on the same property. Movie still kicks ass Polish sausage So a person dying of a drug overdose is not a sad thing because they no longer will experience pain? It seemed like he was trying to mimic Trumps mannerisms when speaking to a large crowd and not so much how you’d see him in a one on one conversation. It also seemed like he tried to sneak some part 1 Vito Corleone in there.
