Candyman (1992)
Helen meets Candyman, blacks out and wakes up covered in blood. AARGH! The most scary part was they didn't show what happened in between. The blood was just a jump scare for me. Also, Virginia Madsen is so good in this.
IMDB used to have Related Movies list on a movie's main page which was generated from user ratings. It was movies which people rated similarly ("People who liked this also liked..."). My guess is this site's info comes from the IMDB API which must still include the related movies list.

Things were done differently in the 1950s. For example Jacques Cousteau drove his ship, the famous <i>Calypso</i>, over a whale killing it (OOPS!) and his crew bullied turtles on an island. They saw nothing wrong with that and put it in a documentary. Good old times!
