It is worth it when you look into the eyes of kid who has no future but you. Today I looked into the eyes of a bunch of kindergarteners..… some where stupid, and some I could see were ready to be the best. That's my job. Find the best of the best.
I've been doing this for 15 years and only about 6 kids have made me throw in the towel.

No not that crap.. I'm just saying I teach some wonderful Mexican kids , some of the smartest I know.. I'm just trying to help those who want to succeed. But its different here on the border. I love these kids.
I have a kid today when I pointed at spoon, blue and chair he could not find these words... I'm thinking esl which means he speaks Spanish most of the time.. It could also be Special Education.
yes and no they are Hispanic..Many of the kids I help are English as a second language...
I sat from 3 to 4 today thinking about what I could do to help a first grader who knew nothing..letters sounds nothing.
Hey I walk in everyday black Hispanic white I don't care. all I care about is the same look I had in my eye when I was 8 , I am ready to learn.. Nothing else matters to me.. I see it , I know it.. that's why I'm the best teacher out there.
