Update: The 4K UHD release has just been announced for October 15th. I love that Covid has given the studios a reason to revisit their hidden gems.

It’s so ironic that the vaccine currently being put into phase 3 trials has a chemical formula based on what Nick invented for Lorenzo so many years ago. Better late than never, I guess.
I doubt that there’s ever been a better male performance than what Nick Nolte gives in Lorenzo’s Oil. It’s subtle, yet powerful...comedic, yet gut-wrenchingly dramatic. It’s everything you could ever ask from an actor.
Thank you for understanding. This site has taught me just one thing...that there are very few people in this world who understand and embrace the beauty of Lorenzo’s Oil.
I disagree.
It’s always so absurd when people ask that question about anything. Whether I could or couldn’t is irrelevant, but to walk through life with zero opinions is inhuman. Should you never comment on the design of a car despite the fact that you could never hope to design and build one yourself? Should you never comment on the actions of a president despite the fact that you could never be elected yourself? Do you have to like every meal you have in every restaurant because you’re not a professional chef? Consequently, do you have to like every single performance in every single movie because you’re not an actor? Your logic simply doesn’t hold up.
