I agree. Any person whos focus is on killing babies has something wrong with them. She is actually championing killing babies. She may have just said "Kill your babies."
Shes a child being used to propagandize the youth. If you are not aware of chem-trails and geoengineering than dont talk to me about climate change.
So did Hitler and George Bush Jr. Haven't you learned anything yet?
Honestly I'm not sure what my problem is but there are many. Regardless I am tired of seeing her boyface photo showing up in my Moviechat feed...Its Moviechat, get it. Shes a public figure and they are up for public scorn...as I have done. She knows nothing about the world, shes 16. So talk at me when you have lived more than a decade plus six years and you have some real life experience and wisdom under your belt.
What? I am just hearing this for the first time. I hope he was right with Jesus. He was one of the best drummers ever, Im talking top 5 ever, and was also the driving creative force behind Rush, which is one of my all time favorite bands.
Yup. Looks like a train-wreck into a dumpster fire on acid.
Yeah I felt the whole ending was done for shock value and was illogical.
Its my personal favorite of the year, so nope.
Is that true? Where is this coming from?
I agree the primary actors performances are great but I disagree about the narrative and some of the character decisions and their motivations and this falls to direction. While Jennifer Kent was able to capture amazing performances from the actors she was not able to maintain the focus of the narrative. To me their was a lot of unnecessary exposition on plot points which had already been firmly established and thus felt heavy handed and tiresome. My biggest problem was with Clare's inexplicable change of will, spirit and motivation in the moment when she confronted Hawkins in the woods. One moment she can barely contain her desire to shoot him down and have her revenge and then suddenly she runs away and wants nothing more to do with the entire enterprise. This had me shaking my head as she had already braved and endured a fight to the death in a previous scene. I have no idea why her motivation suddenly changed and she lost her courage. Several other scenes just felt like filler with no particular service to the overarching narrative. For example the dream/nightmare sequence was entirely unnecessary as were others.
I dont know about creepy but it didnt work for me both knowing her scenes were from TFA and she was dead. It rather seemed obvious her scenes were contrived and without much consequence as fan service.
So I watched it and I didnt hate it but I didnt think it lived up to the hype. I thought it was great until it went to the dark side. I think it would have worked better as a straight comedy or a drama. I dont really think the bloodshed served the story very much other than to setup the very end which I felt was rather ridiculous. Anyway I am glad I saw it and I was enthralled and entertained until the final act but it wouldn't be on my best of 2019 list.
I hear ya and I cant believe that was actually Henry Thomas from E.T.!
I have in the past but I usually have to be really motivated. For instance Run Lola Run, and I loved it!
Lol, saw it.
She reminds me of a younger, better looking Sigourney Weaver.
Not perfect but close. She is gorgeous.
Right on. I appreciate your input.
Ok I will. I just have to be in the right mental place to sit there and read without being distracted by my adhd. lol. Thanks Robocat.
If your not watching "old" movies you are really missing out and only denying yourself some satisfying experiences. But to be honest I used to be the same way. If you continue to be a film lover eventually you will seek out all the "old" greats. I would suggest using the IMDB top 250 and choose the ones that interest you or have some actor you like.
