Yes I agree. It was ok but left me flat. Female directors just lack when it comes to action. Also story was kinda lame and the stakes never really felt high nor did the enemy seem very threatening. It had some good moments but ultimately forgettable. After seeing this I don’t know that I am up for it. Although I agree this is overrated. My biggest problem with it is the daughter rolling out to Paris and leaving him behind to die alone in a home. And you said what I’ve been saying for years the quality of films and the movies suck. It’s like they stopped making really good movies starting in the aughts. Other than Whiplash and Wind River and some others here and there they don’t make em like they used to. All mostly forgettable. Totally agree. I don’t get the praise and hype. Pretty forgettable. I agree. The last 2 episodes seemed out of place and designed for the creation of a second season. My main problem was that Ed was setup as a guy who only went after those who had done evil against him and Mildred. All of a sudden they spun him out as a serial killer. It did not track with the established narrative. Brad Dourif Yeah I know my 80 yo Mom loved it too. To me it was a disappointment. Really ignorant post, just dumb. I disagree I found it to be remarkable. It one of his finest performances. Really a lot more voice work than acting. Lol. Truly revolting. She definitely did. Mom liked it I did not, we paid the 20. And they have that awesome accent too. A lot of people really like The Jerk. I think his best acting performance was in Parenthood and my favorite film of his is All of Me with Lily Tomlin, hilarious. But I dont think he ever made a great film. I really liked The Man with Two brains, it was a ballsy production. LOL I know right. Riding on the Metro is a great song. Man they had alot of good songs but I have to say The Chauffeur is a masterpiece and I am kinda surprised that so many others appreciate it as well given all of their pop hits. Also Save A Prayer, The Union of The Snake, A View to a Kill, Is There Something I Should Know, New Moon on Monday and The Seventh Stranger. I used to listen to the first 3 albums over and over again. Agreed. The director made some really poor choices and the script was very poor. I was actually referring to this film, Rosemarys Baby. But yeah The Shining too. Gonna have to rewatch that one now. lol I know that. I have watched many subbed films. The best ever was Run Lola Run and yes I am glad to have experienced that, but Parasite is overrated.
