I believe it will go down hill and be less popular. That's based on evidence I've observed. All of their coming films are unimportant and that will create a decline. Most of us went to see Marvel films that weren't good, Captain Marvel, Antman, the first Thor film, the 2st and 3nd Iron Man, just because they were part of the Avengers storyline. At times it was even worth sitting through the film to watch the end scenes hinting at what was coming next. The movies were a duty to watch. Comic books worked like that too. When an important story was happening you had to get all the parts of the story. Meanwhile, standalone comics can be boring unless the writing is very good. The same goes for these movies. If it's just Black Panther, etc then the movie will either be good, medium, or bad and be judged only on its merits. Likely, stand alone movies will not be epic, and so it will cause a decline in interest. Marvel needs to get on another continuing story, now. DC failed to make an epic saga and actually gave up on bringing Darseid in for some insane reasons. So Justice League failed. Another company wanted to make standalone films about Dracula, the Mummy, etc and make them superheroes, but they didn't bring that togather fast enough and it failed. No saga, no success. You could probably make the argument. It isn't on the surface, but I could see how it could be seen as an alternate exploration of Superman. Still, it does seem like a ripoff since it's not a DC story. I'm friends with a famous wrestler. I don't go into it being fake with him, but I do workout with the guy. He's an amazing athlete and very nimble and fit regarding cardio, and he's an older guy. I have never seen anyone go like he does in real life. So, I look at wrestling as being more challenging than actual fighting. To fake a fight for entertainment purposes takes a lot of effort. Anyone can actually jump on a person's neck. But, not many could make is look real but not actually harm the person. These guys put on an exciting show. And, I'm glad they aren't really fighting. I am literally discussing a well known topic about heroic figures. I'm sure if you google superheroes and fascism you will find material. The artist I mentioned was John Byrne. Your response is that of the modern uneducated person who is dumb, but can work a computer. Thor is kind of a god of love. He can't pick up his hammer unless he has good intentions. That kind of character SHOULD inspire complex writing about motives, self-reflection, and so on. It would be an epic character that would be sending a message. Hollywood does not create characters like that. It is likely because it's composed of varying degrees of Harvey Weinstiens. Druggies, pedo, perverts, it's the constant stereotype. Do you think they want to take a powerful and loving character seriously? It was a trend in the 90s for jewish people to say that heroic figures inspire Nazism. It's a weird argument because it's obvious that a character like Superman, Captain America, etc would oppress people or kill mass numbers over anything. But, that jewish idea hit movies hard in the 70s and comics in the 90s. I recall one of my favorite writers/artists saying he felt guilty for being involved in comics. Anyway, in the 70s jewish filmmakers made westerns, where the cowboys were dirty creeps, thus defeating previous decades showing them to be heroes. Films like Superman were largely comedies or would have heavy comedy elements. That made the superhero into a campy figure and not a role model. Marvel is doing the same thing and believe it's due to this cultural weirdness. They can't have Thor ect be awesome because it overshadows the mythology they believe in. Whatever the case, the tonal shift in these films is very weird. It's almost as they were made by a "bipolar" or mentally disorganized person. The stories can always be done better regarding technology. I think the Mission Impossible movies handle technology well. Sometimes it works great, sometimes sorta, and sometimes it fails. That keeps the characters on their toes and shows them to be awesome people. As I've said, Bond started out as a science fiction character and the latest films forgot that and made the films boring. You don't have to have comedy and camp to achieve a good SF story. It's called "Tokenism" and is a form of disguised prejudice. If they put a black, gay, etc character in a story and they don't expand on their blackness, gayness, etc they don't really care. It's a form of shallow virtue signaling. But, it's actually covert prejudice because the writer is using the minority as an object to enhance their own reputation. Look up the term "magical negro" because it's an example. I'm amazed how tokenism has become a huge thing. I guess it's due to lack of education for writers and so people who are just "writing stuff" but haven't been trained are repeating mistakes from the past. Whatever the case, it's obnoxious. I don't care about him. I don't care much about celebrities but I find them mildly interesting. I also don't love sports and so I tend to dislike sports figures because their importance seems overblown to me. From what I have learned about Woods, if seemed that his father used him like a trained monkey, much like the Jackson Family experienced with their father. They have parents who train them to be money making machines. That leaves the kid with a bizarre, restricted, and miserable childhood. That's why Michael Jackson went crazy and it spilled out in many weird ways. I view Woods in the same light and believe all kinds of pent up weirdness came out. What does interest me are celebs that can break all kinds of laws, do perverted stuff, and then resume normal activities after a period of media problems. Meanwhile, there's celebs that say one wrong thing and they're destroyed and disappear. The psychology behind all of that is interesting. if you classify something as a parody, then you can do that. This story was huge in comics many years ago. It had alien superbeings showing up to try to kill her and the climax took place on the moon. The problem with Fox films is they don't use the source material that everyone loved and they cheapen things up a lot. If they actually used the original stories they would be far more successful. Marvel films include a lot of original stories elements. Also, Fox seems to focus a lot on young people as actors. That loses something because most superheroes are adults. People doing advanced science tend to be adults, etc. Having kids play the roles looks weird and many actors that age probably can't imagine the pain and stress of being a superhero, and so their acting is flat. The Star Wars prequels had that issue with the Darth Vader actor. I could see on his face that he didn't understand the character. Those were the stories from the time. He would hire hookers to have sex with each other. He would not participate but sit, in a business suit, and watch them. There were many stories about that. Like he was spending huge amounts of money on porn like sexual situations. He didn't just cheat, like with someone he also loved, but rather he was hiring countless hookers to do all kinds of odd stuff while he watched. You know something is perverted if you wouldn't talk about it in public, explain it to a kid, etc. I don't care about any celeb's personal life. However, Tiger was ultra weird and perverted, so why does he get a pass and many other celebs get destroyed even for just making comments? It's odd. He has ALWAYS been like that. He plagiarized a speech of something during his first presidential campaign. That caused a lot of trouble for him. I get the impression that he doesn't have much personality and may be super average. If so that's why he stumbles and has copied others. Maybe he doesn't think about much or really care and is into scripted stuff which he can't say well because he isn't into it. The Clintons were like that too. Everything they said sounded rehearsed and fake. Only, they were stiff with Hillary being extremely stiff as she delivers lines. It's a sign of a liar. Biden copied the work of another while RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT and that's a big and very bad liar because he couldn't imagine someone finding out. That's weird even. Yes a "young Alfred Black Guy" would be heinous. Also, he was acting stupidly in the trailer. I would assume that if you knew Batman and his secret, you wouldn't be "Oh Dearing" like C3PO as someone breaks into the Batcave. More reasons not to watch. Biden doesn't seem intelligent to me and I've observed his career for decades. He hasn't changed since he first ran for president. His presentation is that of an introverted guy trying to be outgoing and then he comes off as awkward. That means that for his position, he is out of his league as a media figure and must have some level of social retardation. And, I'm not a Republican. He doesn't have the fluid wit of Obama or Trump. Both of those guys are like weird mirror images of each other. Both are never at a loss for words. Obama always had quick intelligent answers and was funny. Trump is much the same only he is mean/sarcastic funny. Meanwhile, Biden has never displayed a quick wit or humor. He will be destroyed by Trump in any public forum. I hate when they cast a black guy in a role like Alfred. It's like they just pick any black guy and are okay with it. Instead, they ought to find a Black Alfred to at least fit the character. That would be a strong older, very polite and eloquent, soldier kind of man. When I watched the trailer I had no idea that was Alfred, I though it was a guy who broke in with her into the house. Thanks. The new movies were part of the dumb "realism" wave that hit characters like Batman. Batman is an advanced science fiction character who would not be remotely possible in our current world. The dumbest thing I saw in Batman Begins was when he was escaping police, in a helicopter, while he drove his car. His technique to evade them on a straight highway was the turn his lights out, lol. People can still see a car on a highway even with its lights out. Batman can only exist if he can evade all modern forms of detection. So, he needs a science fiction level vehicle, devices, etc. That actually makes the story MORE believable, than saying it's possible now, and having him turn his lights off. Anyway, to "realists" Bond is a "spy" and not science fiction. Probably most spies are accountants of something and never get into a fight, etc. So, spies are boring. The writers made Bond boring and implausible because he doesn't appear to be a martial arts expert, doesn't have techo devices, and so the films are very unrealistic, because such a guy would be very ineffective. Kingsman is a comedy, but it has many of the elements that make Bond interesting. Those have been better Bond movies than Bond movies. If you made a serious Bond film with the interesting science fiction stuff like Kingsman, it would be great. Mission Impossible films come close to that and are better Bond films. I work in mental health. I had no idea who he was then saw him on here and clicked to see. As soon as I saw his pic I could tell he was a guy with some kind of intense mental problem going on. That could be because he had something wrong with him from the beginning. But, problems can also be caused by exposure to trauma. In this case, maybe he was traumatized by weirdness in Hollywood and he started going insane. But, it seems hard to believe you would kill yourself over that but rather you would run away from it all. So, it seems likely to me he probably had some kind of Paranoid Schizophrenia, or something close, and was saying random bizarre things. Sometimes the pressure of being mentally disorganized is too much for people and they will kill themselves. Without knowing much about him, that's my guess.
