Yeah I really liked her as an actress too, and a little bummed at what’s she said about Angels. Thanks for the info. I’m thinking about subscribing just to watch X-Men. I wasn’t too impressed either. It just doesn’t move me like i think it means to. I think it may be more suitable for kids, obviously. The Raimi and “Amazing” movies seem a bit more mature in getting their themes across. I’ve always dug this one though. I like Elektra's relationship with Bond. I remember seeing it for the first time and being surprised at the *spoilers* surprise when you find out she went all Patty Hearst and teamed up with the villain. Then Bond kills her with that, “I never miss,” line. And then M walks in all like, “Damn”. Too cool. Christmas I can deal with because it’s Denise Richards, and while it’s not the greatest performance, it fits the bill. I’m not too worried about the quality of the acting performance of Bond girls, if you know what I mean. I like that Russian KGB guy from GoldenEye who shows up and helps Bond, and how he saves Bond’s life before he dies. The ski chase, boat chase, submarine. It’s all pretty cool! I know it has its low moments, but I guess you can say it’s a guilty pleasure for me. I think it has some cool stuff. That all being said, I think it’s ahead of Die Another Day and IMO Tomorrow Never Dies. Agreed. It’s just a word. That’s what you call real movie magic. So what if it looks like something from the 80s. Just gotta suspend your disbelief. Was he the roommates boyfriend? Shoot we might lol. I still really like him in Bill and Teds though. And he’s has some other good movies of course, but those are 2 roles that stand out. Yeah those numbers seem skewed. Linklater was determined not to let anything in the movie that was post May 1976. I doubt he slipped up on a main characters wardrobe. I didn't see it, partially because the only actress I've even heard of is Kristen Stewart, and she's no box office draw. The 2000 version of Charlie's Angels had three actresses who were coming off of huge smashes: Diaz in There's Something About Mary, Barrymore in The Wedding Singer, and Liu in Tomorrow Never Dies. This Ella Balinska I've never heard of, and she's never done anything anyone's heard of. I'd say that from the late 90s to early 2000s, some blockbuster movies were duds. But Mallrats, even though it failed to make money at the box office, did serve as a precursor to the new era of teen comedy. After 1995 came American Pie, Can't Hardly Wait, She's All That, etc. Those are all decent teen movies. He did gun down Bruce's parents right in front of him, for no good reason. And he had the weird, eerie line, "Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?" He was crazy and evil even before the transformation. I haven't seen this since it came out, but I do remember thinking something along those lines after watching it. I liked it okay, but it was too soap opera-ish. Was she a gf or was she a slave? And Sanford and Son Because people in power like telling others what they should be offended by. Well the nerdiest kids of my school kinda were like that. It is what it is. And the bullying went both ways because if a nerd heard that I didn’t understand some academic concept, I would never hear the end of it. Maybe I'll check it out sometime. I really do enjoy the College Years actually. The way Zack, Slater, and Screech become more like the 3 Musketeers is fun to see. They played well off each other. Yeah he's pretty ugly. Then again, his parents don't always make it easy for him, which I can relate to. I like Kev because he's rude, snotty, thinks that life is unfair to him, and I can relate to feeling that way as a kid. At the same time, there are times when it looks like he's the only reasonable one in the whole house.
