Oh I do. I see them every day, and I am not referring to real ones. The term is symbolic. Real lapdogs, at least, don't talk, and are likeable. The lapdogs in the lamestream media are not.
It would help if they actually could write anything good. So you like suspending your disbelief into fantasy territory. Don't worry, lots of people are remedial like that. Doesn't mean I have to read about the drug dreams of people who hate tradition and logic.
Bad writing, an illogical plot, cliches, and a lead that nobody can relate to.
Wow, can't even take a joke.
Some people can't get used to chains either.
Don't hold back, tell us how you really feel.
They haven't been relevant since they were stupid enough to embrace Democratic Socialism (which is a contradiction in terms) and became one of the EU's piggy banks.
It will be in the theaters for a few weeks, and then on dvd in 3 months, and then everyone will forget about it as fast as they did "District 9." 'Nuff said.
These books weren't written by a Brit, were they? They haven't written a good sci-fi novel since H.G. Wells. This sounds on par with those awful books written by Douglass Adams and Terry Pratchett. Creative, inventive, but really badly put together.
And for the record, I have read many good steampunk stories, and none of them were on this level of bad story-writing. Geological events caused by humans in the future? Give me a break! Usually that's on the same level as aliens that can sculpt or move entire planets. Steampunk can't usually think in any direction beyond earth's surface in an alternate-history pseudo-Victorian setting. Sorry, but that BS doesn't work for me.
He's also rolled back over since the other bad CGI cartoons came out. That studio should really give the old man a break.
Yeah, I'm perfectly happy with the original cartoon and the Jim Carey version.
I was extremely uninterested in this cartoon, especially after I figured out it was made by the same people who made that awful CGI version of "Horton Hears a Who" cartoon. I mean, who cares if Benedict Cumberbatch voiced the Grinch? The adverts only used him as a name-drop to get people to come see. Doesn't mean he can truly do the job in voicing him.
I've loathed and despised the lying media ever since the War on Terror started. They have become nothing more than a propaganda arm for the Democrap party, and don't care at all about informing the people. All they care about are ratings, entertaining anyone stupid enough to still be watching or reading their lies, (which is about 40% of Americans, sadly), they do whatever they can to please their masters like a bunch of lapdogs, and they refuse to consider anything that might be happening outside their little bubbles of existence.
Is it any wonder that they were totally clueless and crying when the Hildabeast lost the election? The one they thought was bought and paid for?
And it didn't really matter who won on the Republican side, they would have immediately turned on anyone in that position like a bunch of vipers. Trump in particular gets a very special form of their "wrath" because he has a history with the press, as well as the elites on the left. They also don't like the fact that he can't be bought, and he has totally been playing them like a violin, and they can't stand that. It really burns them that they don't have the power to sway the American people like they used to, and will call any form of media that doesn't follow their narrative, or naysays their message, as "fake news." I always get a kick out of seeing them proved wrong.
Remember, they only shut down narratives that are contrary to their own because they can't win the argument. They know that their narrative is flawed, and cannot back it up with facts and reality. So they just scream and call you any "ist" and "phobe" they can think of to try and shame you into silence. Don't listen to them.
He unfortunately is plagued with the exact same ailment that plagued Dick Van Dyke and Keanu Reeves: he can't do any other accent worth a shit, so the director/producers gave up and let him speak normally.
I actually read why her career tanked so quickly after X-men and the Hunger Games movies.
She started getting all political (just like the other idiots in Hollywood), and said a lot of stuff that was offensive towards people on the right side of the political spectrum, and in effect, alienating a large portion of her audience. Not surprisingly, the silent majority stepped in and not only ignored her next few films (which weren't that good to start with, not unless you're a fan of "Joy" and "American Hustle"), but bombarded any acting parts she did with bad reviews. That's one reason we heard so little of her recent films, such as "Passengers."
Instead of admitting she was wrong, she pretended that she was going on a 2-year hiatus from acting (which is just another way of saying, "My career is dying and I'm gonna run away from it while the going is still good,") and was quoted as going to get politically active to "Fix Our Democracy." How an idiot like her is gonna do that, I have no clue. A pity. She had a promising career ahead of her, and she had to sacrifice it on the altar of the Democrap party.
Me four!
That's a pity. Despite both movies' unpopularity, I liked both.
The brogue is still inaccurate.
It looks like a drug dream. Moving cities only makes sense when they float on water or in air, but on giant tank treads? Give me a break! And "eating other cities" to survive? Seriously?
She looks great, but she looks nothing like the original Mary Poppins, and doesn't even DRESS like her. She's good with the voice inflections and the personality, but frankly, she's more like the original Mary Poppins' student than the woman herself.
You wouldn't know that from watching the "Behind the Scenes" special on ABC. There was sooooo much gushing! I'm amazed the tv sets weren't flooded by all the people praising how great it was going to be.
I worry that it'll bring forth a similar reaction to how I felt about the original Mary Poppins: Boring movie that was wayyyy too long with some messed-up aspects, whereas you hear all this praise coming out of the studio, and bragging about how it was Disney's pet project and put so much love and work into it. It kinda gives you mixed signals.
