Ketch and Mary would be interesting in that the boys don’t like it - especially Dean. So there would be the friction between them as well as the has he or hasn’t he turned over a different leaf? Ketch and Mary are spicy. Around the same age and both attractive. Bobby and Mary are bland and boring. And the age difference is strange.
The last thing I want to see at the end is a tearful, schmaltzy family reunion scene where they all embrace as the sun sets. Or afterwards all pile in Baby and drive off. Please TPTB- don’t let the final scene remotely look like this.
I understand people wanting to see Show bring back John and possibly others but to me? I almost hope they don’t. Every character they have brought back they have practically ruined one way or another. Or killed. I honestly don’t think they have it in them creatively to do something like that justice. Dabb has a tendency to be too predictable or corny.
Like me some Ketch and I do prefer them as a couple. So he tried to kill Sam and Dean several times over? So he stood by while Mary was mind controlled? So he tried to wipe out the American Hunters and killed Mick? Who HASN’T tried to kill the boys at one time or another. Who HASN’T had psychopathic murderous thoughts? He’s a badddd boy with a sexy English accent. Life with him would be spicy. With Bobb-snoreeeeeeee. Bobby and Mary are vanilla. Ketch and Mary? Hot.
I’m thinking it’s more like the human side and the Nephilim side can’t coexist without his grace.
Oh joy. More Charlie. Let’s see if they can resist Mary Sueing up the AU version.

So wait. Dabb said how tough it’s been writing episodes without Dean. You mean two whole episodes Andrew? Two? Because right now it looks like this is it as far as the run with Michael controlling Dean we are going to get. For all intents and porpoises 🐬 this is all the real time we will get, the rest to be flashbacks?
Gawd not AUBobby and Mary. I literally cringed at that moment where they shared a couple beers. So not buying it. Shouldn’t there be some chemistry? Psychotic killer Ketch or AUBobby. No contest.
I’m liking MichaelDean. Very curious to see where they take it. Please Dabb give Jensen a chance to explore the character before you abruptly end it. I’ll even buy into the Mary/AUBobby relationship if you do.
The one thing I didn’t care for was all the Sam pimping. Not because I don’t care about Sam. Not because I don’t think he would make a good leader and has in the past. Not because I think Dean will feel displaced when he returns. Not because the AU crowd are acknowledging Sam as in charge. Simply because what he did in the episode for the most part wasn’t anything above and beyond what Dean would have done. Sam standing up to Kip? Exact same thing Dean would do. The battle, the logistics, planning? Nothing different than Dean. The demons shaking in their boots about to piss their pants out of fear over Sam? Please. I wouldn’t have even bought that scene even if it were Dean in Sams place. Were the demons so impressed because Sam took out their blowhard of a leader? Honestly Kip didn’t really seem like all that much of a fight. Ramael was scarier with his pocketwatch countdown. Question? Where did all the TK abilities go? Why didn’t Kip just fling Sam - Hell, everyone - against a wall, hold him/them there and let the demons have at them? I like Sam in a leadership role but let’s not oversell it. Which is exactly what I think they did here.
Sam showed that he could handle a lot of balls in the air but if it had been Dean in his place I think he would have been more laser focused on finding his brother. I also think Dean would have had a handle on where Cas was especially because he is the one with the angel/Archangel knowledge. A resource he would not have wanted to be without when seeking out Michael.
By Episode 4? I hope not but it would be typical for Dabb/Singer. Jensen have the chance to play another character and vex his acting muscles for more than 3 episodes? Heaven forbid, we can’t have that...
Is 1a the way writers think in regard to canon? ;)

I can’t help it. Since the spinoff I don’t even want to see Jody return. I hope this episode changes my mind. Donna. Jody. Okay. The rest? I hope Claire stays an off screen mention like they do more often than not with Cas. Alec/Alex? They’ve made her so dull and boring she can remain an off screener too. If we have to hear from the rest of the Waywards I hope it’s fast and doesn’t take up a full episode. Ugh. I can’t stand Dabb.
TV. The lightening strike took out my TV. I was lucky tho. The guy in the house in back of my apartment building lost THREE. I never realized lightening strikes were such a big deal. Always thought surge protectors would do the job. Ha.
Can’t wait to use the tv/surround tomorrow when Supernatural finally returns!
I shouldn’t have splurged but I figured life gave me a bunch of lemons so I was gonna make lemonade. Mmmmm... lemonade.
Lightening strike next door three weeks ago. Decided since I have to buy a new one I’d splurge a little and got a great sale price. Also purchased a Blue Ray Supernatural 13. In process of daughter and I made friends with the non commish sales guy. Following week decided it was time for a sound bar/system as well as upgrading to Blue Ray player and without asking or expecting our new found bud gave me his employee discount and saved me a ton. So sweet!
Did the fact that the Supernatural season premiere was just around the corner you ask? Wha? Of course not. Ok. I confess. So it better be good! Not only that but last wk my cable box died (the new one that the one fried in the strike). No prob my friendly cable cust service person said. We’ll send you a new one. 3 days tops! Nervously counting off how many days I could spare I reluctantly agreed. 5 days-nada. So this past Sunday I went to company to pick up another. Hooked up, works great. Make sure recording works... Nooooo! Wrong box. Idiots. Luckily Monday being the holiday I was off so I had yet even more time to waste slogging back to their store. Picked up another. Reassured by friendly smiley counter rep that this was absolutely, positively the correct one and he upgraded and fixed what ailed my account. Home again doing another set up thinking it will be easy-we already went through the steps and knew what to expect. Noooooo!!!!! Not again. Contacted the courteous, well trained tech agent who after an hour of trying everything gave up and set up tech appointment for very next day. Crack of dawn get a call. Running late. May not make it in time before I have to leave for work... Break out in nervous sweats. Starting to think God himself protecting me from the probable disappointment of Dabbs next slaughter of our beloved show. Fortunately the rep who they sent didn’t give up and diligently worked until all was up and running. Must be a SPN fan. Thanks David!
I know! Sadly I find myself dreading this Thursday night because I’m so afraid I’m going to find out I’m right. What’s wrong with me!?!?! 😰😰😰😰😰
Every time I see Dabb it makes me want to rip his graphic t shirt from his body and stuff it in his mouth. If I hear him say one more time how “cool” we will find something coming up there wont be a court in the land that would find me guilty. Insane maybe but guilty? Never. And when Singer pipes in visions of burying him and his wife up to their necks in a sand trap with a gassed up golf cart idling nearby dance in my head. Muahahahaaaa. Just kidding Cliffy K (aka Bodyguard for the J’s). It’s just so sad. This show has been so great in the past (with occasional flashes of brilliance in later seasons. It and they deserve so much better.
Honestly I’m not expecting much. The previews with MichaelDean look interesting. Sam and his trial and tribulations because of a missing Dean do too. The rest? Eh. Cas fooled again? Shocker. AUBobby and Mary? No. Just, no. A underpowered or human Jack? The only reason I think that might be interesting is because of the actor who plays him. Other than that if there is a new KOHhed better be interesting and not a rehash of last seasons KFC wannabe. It would be different if MichaelDean decides he’s going to take control over all. Or maybe just Hell on a temporary basis. He is all about righteousness and the inhabitants of Hell are sinners after all. Hearing that there isn’t a lot of MichaelDean in the first episode makes my teeth clench. So after this long hiatus after we get the pleasure of viewing Sam going nuts then what? The May-December romance between Mary and AUBobby? The former AU now Bunker inhabitants invading Sam and Deans space? Please say that’s temporary and they will all find their own homes soon. Heaven and the remaining angels? Boring. Why they had to bring Naomi? (The angel who brainwashed Cas) back is beyond me. Danneels Anael is interesting. I’m curious to see where they take her character. Hell? Predictable and boring. Hopefully they spice it up this time around.
Sadly I’m not feeling much excitement this go round. Hopefully they will prove me wrong. Is anyone else experiencing the same thoughts as I?
