Beauty is subjective only to a degree (unlike whether you, personally, are physically attracted to them).
There are no rules on being attractive if you dont mind being cast for "unattractive woman" listed on the casting-breakdown; Hollywood still has it's preference (rules) on casting beautiful people with box office in mind.
I think it's the nose, luke. (rhinoplasty has always been a career breaker/ maker with romantic leading actresses) You speak realistically about how looks are an important part of being an actor. It's only human nature to prefer watching attractive people on the screen (as we do in real life), with the exception of character-actors.
p.s. Are you trained in the medical field to know that the other medications do not help? or jumping on the "big phrama conspiracy" thing? Have some empathy for misguided people who made a mistake by getting painfully-addicted. (not the ones who take drugs for fun)
Because it detracts from the human spirit; the human pleasure derived from capitalism.
I caught the gist: that the addicts are being pampered and not being trained to take strict responsibility. (and the other medications used to help the addict)
What word would you use instead of disease? A bad "habit"? It's a physiological type of disease. It's only a Tv show, and a form of entertainment on some level; it may not reflect reality; can't be too brutal
Since when does addiction absolves the addict of personal responsibility? I am not familiar with the show you watched, but would you rather the "crack fiend" lie about it? I assume this show is for telling the truth, or what's the point. And all of the addicts who have ruined their lives , or either been indicted or dropped dead are not exactly finding it cushy.
Now, I did watch Laverne and Shirley--then never watched another episode again.
I didn't like Mork and Mindy either (and to be honest, could not stand Robin Williams). But the The Honeymooners, really? I liked the Honeymooners .
That is not an example of racism by Hollywood. It's supply & demand. The cold hard truth is that audiences (society) are not comfortable with it-- and that still is not racism, but human nature.
However, people can kiss and make love to whoever they want. That should be enough, instead of complaining that celluloid does not represent exactly depict everything.. . People try so hard to find something to feed their self-entitlement.
White crime is not disproportionate like black crime; being robbed at knife-point, burglarized or raped. But, let's keep up the charade up regarding blacks (wealthy or poor)
"How do we know an actor is straight"? is never asked. So, being gay is a reflection of ''utter tabloid trash'' to you. You're exactly what I'm referring to, and putting your foot in your mouth with no self-awareness This is WHY actors do not come out, so they won't be thought of as utter tabloid trash, and less worthy.(and lose their acting career at the same time). But if he's "only" bisexual, then it's cool.
You're a hypocrite since everybody talks freely about the heterosexual private sexual lives of stars---but it's no longer considered "obsessive". According to the sheep, no handsome popular actor could possibly be full-on gay; it's too threatening for them to bear. Same as was in the 50's. The thought of him being gay really brings the defensiveness/anger out in you.
So, I see. I did not notice since the following post is only 13 hours old. However, the subject matter remains the same, regardless of when TCM's post was made. (like referring to Travolta as a ''pervert'' which alluded more to him being gay than on the down-low)
I'd think one would wonder why a woman would marry a man who everybody in town knows is gay, but supposedly not her. Not a switch-hitter, but gay. And "love" isn't exactly the only reason why women in Hollywood marry rich famous actors, which includes co-bearding. (Women are presumed to be more more innocent in general.)
I am sorry her life had to end at only 57 and the suffering she endured.
And you wait until now, just after her death to post such "important" news. Real classy.
And you're questioning if Travolta is gay? Where have you been? If she was bearding for him, she's wasn't all that innocent either. Sounds like you're judging based on her pretty appearance, and no man would've "deserved" her. I'm sorry she died, and I'm not a fan of those 2 men by any means.
A relief? That was quite disrespectful , when she fought her illness and wanted to live.
TCM
She only just DIED, and you're running your mouth off to bash her ex-lovers.
If she decided to marry Travolta, that was on her. And you're assuming she didn't know he is gay, or that she was his beard. ( you segued from being on the down-low to "pervert"..interesting)
She may have argued that she should be pitied after her death, since you did not know her. Being happy, successful, beautiful and rich is not to be pitied because she was a celebrity. Her death was awful, not her life.
Anti-male, are you?
What does that have to do with her untimely death, except to jump on the bandwagon in order to bash the men in her life, when you dont' know exactly what she was like in real life either. She would have something to say about how "terrible" they were, and think you're rude for it.
She was definitely smug (to put it mildly) with the police officer, and used- car salesman.
I deleted my other posts.. why bother.
All that (homelessness) was happening BEFORE Trump came along, and will continue when Trump is gone. You're expecting him to find a care for a virus. Sure, he wants there "not" to be a cure. Excuses.
She wasn't mocking him. Posters think she was being condescending to him in the parlor scene.
