I think that Margot was pretty much f***ed by then as the FBI were conducting their own investigation. It was the Russian boss that offered her a way out. Basically, come work for us instead of going to jail for 40 years.
Much like pre-S1, Von Braun, Margot's mentor, was taken to the US despite working for the enemy. When he arrived he was pretty much a prisoner until his work for USAF and NASA earned him privileges. I suspect the same happened to Margot, in a neat circle.
Zero privacy is a big element of the Royals life that few seem to consider. Imagine if every aspect of your life is monitored and carefully considered. Everything you do is either in the glare of full media coverage or if indoors, there are staff everywhere, listening, potentially gossiping or leaking to the Media.
You can't just pop out for a walk, you can't nip to the shops or to a bar or restaurant.
Their lives are so different from everyday people, from birth to death, that it is impossible to compare who's working life is "the hardest"
Yes, it might seem nice if you never have to cook, clean, do the washing etc. I sometimes think about what it be like to live in a house so big that if you want to have a word with the chef about too much salt or something, it takes you 20 mins to walk to the kitchen.

Yeah, as a teenager in the 80’s I got into Blues , Soul and R’n’B , mainly from watching The Blues Brothers. However, being a white teen born in the UK in 1969, I rapidly discovered I wasn’t a black slave from the deep South of 18th C America so I began to despise myself, and would spit at my own reflection in shop windows.

There is a clear hatred of Eric coming from Jack, and fear from Eric. He’s killed a man, probably a week ago and then out of the blue, that man’s brother, a known killer and gangland heavy, is standing right next to him. Eric is unsure if Jack knows he killed his brother and is there to kill him. The removal of his shades is a wonderful moment when we see the fear in Eric’s eyes.
I think he wears shades because he knows his eyes betray him. He’s trying to be a gangster but he’s just Kinnears driver.
Martini adverts showed a very glam, jet-set lifestyle and Jack is making a jibe at Eric, that his smart look is very flashy when he knows he is really nothing in truth.
The conversation about his well being, his future prospects is highly sarcastic and biting.

Given they were all “top men” it seems surprising they didn’t just come right out and say “This guy is Hans Gruber’s brother so it’s likely this bombing campaign is for revenge, or more likely a smokescreen to steal money, what with this bomb being right here in Wall St. “

Don’t forget that when “the board” is quizzing Ripley about the loss of the Nostromo, they use the term “adjusted dollars”. This indicates that there has been a re-nomination of currency at some point, presumably during Ripley’s hypersleep, to stop the numbers getting too big.
Italy actually did this (I think) at some point in the early 20th C . When I went there in 1988, a 1000 lire note wasn’t worth much at all, even after the change, but much earlier it was like 50,000 lire for a loaf of bread or something similar.
I used to watch this a lot when it came out on video. I once had a dream that I was in some sort of locker room, all metal walls and mesh barriers and was about to be attacked by Aliens. I had a flamethrower but when I used it, just a dribble of flaming liquid came out and made a puddle on the floor.

Bit late 4 years on, but if you get to look at a normal Theatre stage, the whole stage is angled from rear down to front. It gives a sort of false perspective and also makes things at the back less obscured by stuff at the front.
Drum riser does the same thing by lifting the kit higher so it can be seen.

I don’t think she was getting new clients and continuing work as a prostitute other than using it to get her former clients back to the house to murder them. She killed the men whom she was forced or coerced into having sex with while caught in the world of her pimp. She didn’t then carry on with new men.
The Christie murders some 20 years before show that in a post war London house you can hide bodies for ages. The smell goes away after a while but the key factor is how cold these houses were. It’s difficult to imagine now in our modern age, but prior to the 80’s very few houses like that had central heating, or even hot water. They are dark, cold houses. Both my mother and mother in law tell stories of waking up in winter to ice on the inside of windows, frozen condensation. That’s why everyone wore thick clothes and thick bed covers.
The only heat was coal fires in the front room.
The confusion I found was whether I was supposed to feel sorry for these men, trapped in some sort of limbo. One could argue they were just men partaking in the world’s oldest profession or that they were essentially rapists who knew exactly what they were doing. Presumably adulterers too.
There’s nothing “wrong” with being quiet, thoughtful and introverted.
