<blockquote>I just cannot believe they replaced Buffy with some ghetto nappy headed hoe.</blockquote>
That would be Brandy. You don't think Brandy is hot?
Judging by your choice of words there, it would seem that you're not into the dark meat.
Also, what's wrong with an angry black guy?
Did you know there was a famous movie called "12 Angry Men" starring 12 angry white guys?

White man looks very psychotic.
When I saw the scene where Stallone took his shirt off only to swim shirtless into an underwater ice cave, it showed the great attention to detail into his character. No matter how many people Stallone killed, seeing him voluntarily swim shirtless into ice water is just something that shocks an audience into really showing how bad ass his character truly was. Nothing was going to take down Gabe Walker. When you see someone just voluntarily jump shirtless into an underwater ice cave, you know you don't stand a chance.
<b/>It would be like watching someone voluntarily taking off their shirt right before the Titanic sinks and they end up shirtless in the water. You know that person is going to survive until the Carpathia comes.<b>
Does New Mexico have so little going for it as a state that they have to put up statues of fictional characters?
:(
Yeah, I just noticed that, too. It used to be listed as 1968 for so many years...now all of a sudden it's listed everywhere as 1963. 26 does seem more realistic than 21.
What an excellent intelligent thought-provoking question!
My brain is in recovery mode from trying to think of an answer to such a high level question.
I've known about this movie for over 30 years and I never once thought about this before.
The Very First Pilgrim who ever tried shaking hands with the Native Americans was considered to be "woke."
Not much different than making a movie with a gay sheriff and calling it, "Boss Faggot."
This would not necessarily be coming from a place of homophobia.
Likewise, the title, "Boss Nigger" does not necessarily have to be coming from a place of racism. To me, the titles are intended to be tongue-in-cheek humor. But obviously, you could have some racist asshole who loves screaming the title of the movie over and over while claiming it's not wrong to say the title of a movie.
Some say blaxploitation movies were empowering, others say they were racist.
To me, neither opinion is really wrong or right.

I thought the exact same thing as the OP when I read the description for this movie and then saw a thread was already made. That really was a good episode: "The Tale of the Dead Man's Float."
I would recommend people watch it if they can find it.
<b>Here's 2 links about the episode if anyone cares:</b>

<b>Here's a picture of the dead zombie/spirit/corpse thing:
(Keep in mind this was a kid's show on Nickelodeon in the 90's)</b>

True:
<b>December 4, 1980:</b> Australia
<b>April 9, 1981:</b> United Kingdom
<b>June 19, 1981:</b> United States
Interesting.
Wonder why Australia got it first....then the U.K...how appalling.
No one said "hot" from what I can see after skimming 5 pages...
bunch of sick fuckin' morons on this board.
Guess I'm more open minded than the average man.
It is quite ironic and humorous that the same man who released the album "If You Can't Lick 'Em...Lick 'Em" way back in 1987 is calling another artist's work, "cartoon music," especially with the title of track #7 below.
That song isn't exactly some "world changing deep intellectual track."
This album is a bunch of "love sounding song titles and poppy nonsense:"
1. "Can't Live with 'Em"
2. "She Drives Me Crazy"
3. "If You Can't Lick 'Em... Lick 'Em"
4. "Skintight"
5. "Funlover"
6. "Spread Your Wings"
7. <b>"The Harder They Come (The Harder I Get)" </b>
8. "Separate the Men from the Boys, Please"
9. "Bite the Hand"
10. "That's the Story of Love"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/If_You_Can%27t_Lick_%27Em..._Lick_%27Em
Nothing wrong with writing those types of songs but don't act like you're so above that, especially when you make an album cover like that, too.
Yeah, it's such deep art!
<b>Lighten up, Ted!</b>
Still can't believe how non-binary she looked for 1980.
My thoughts, too:

That's what I said in my post that is 2 posts above yours.
WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG?!?!
These scripts and plots are like the simplest things to do in the world.
This isn't "Pulp Fiction" or "Scarface".
Give me money and I'll do it.
Yeah, they did it in "Pet Sematary" (1989).
You'd think that would've been enough to loosen up everyone's assholes a bit.
I'm still waiting for them to make the cash cow: "Friday the 13th: Part 13." The name practically writes itself.
So many ways they could go with this title:

At least I know I'm not alone with this thought.
I always found it funny when Ralphie's mom asks him where he heard that word and he says in his head "Now I heard that word about ten times a day from my old man," but then he just blurts out "Schwartz!" and then the mom calls Schwartz's mom and asks "Do you know where he heard it?" and you hear the other mother through the receiver say, "Probably from his father."
lol
I read that Laurie was able to survive because she wasn't preoccupied with having sex so she was focused on her surroundings. It was never meant to demonize sex or sending a message that they must die because they were having premarital sex.
It was just a simple premise of Laurie being focused on her surroundings and everyone else was focused on other things and not paying attention to the world around them. A lot of people just ran with it and made it a trope that virgins are supposed to live because they are pure and other such nonsense.
Yeah but nobody knew how big the movie would be. The budget was $325,000 and it made 70 million at the box office. There was room to give everyone a little more.
Budget in 1978 was $325,000, which is $1,600,000 today.
Even accounting for the inflated budget, $94,000 (2023 dollars) for Pleasance seems like peanuts for the value he provided to the movie. Well, everyone deserves more...but him especially.
Imagine if he knew in advance <b>"yeah this movie is gonna make 70 million and you're gonna be one of the starring roles and it's going to become a landmark horror classic for years to come but you're only gonna get $20,000."</b> Does sound crazy.
