As I recall, the actual person the character was based off of was fully Ranger-qualified but had been relegated to a staff-type position. When Dale Sizemore was found to be injured (guy with the cast on his arm), Grimes (blanking on the dude's real name) filled in. You're not entirely wrong, but really none of them had seen battle to that degree before, at least none of the Rangers...
Hello Me from 2 years ago! I'm going to bump my own post just in case someone is looking around here for some reason! Can anyone name a film that somehow captures this feel? I feel like I have scoured the movie universe for one and have found nothing that truly feels like this (or rather, that this truly feels like, as the movie would have likely come first!).
I know this is part of the director's cut, as that is the cut I have, but i after some research, it looks like that part may only be in the DC.
Sounds to me like this will be a direct continuation of the ending to part 2!
Not sure I care that much about JW on a horse, per se, but I can't wait for the movie regardless! If it is even close to being as good as the first two, it will become one of my favorite trilogies of all time!
I agree with this. We do not need a remake at all, but Karl Urban basically doing Dredd without the helmet would work well. Still, I'd rather they left this alone.
I understand that, but that still seems like poor writing to me...
I like your reply! Glad someone still thinks it through!
I will say that I was scared a good bit the first time I watched Scream. Now... I was in sixth or seventh grade, I believe, but still! Back in 96 or 97, it was scary for a kid! Now, I will also say that I was easily the first kid at the party (on Halloween) to fall asleep (bunch of wimps!) after the movie, but still!
...Jason never feared water either... He swam in 3, 4, 6, 7, 8. Don't look too seriously into this movie! Just enjoy it for the brawl at the end! (In which Jason also walks up out of the water calmly in the ending...!)
It was my first movie of the day, followed by the original Halloween and Halloween 2 (which is paused now and I will finish it soon and to end the night)!
I should have done that! Not that we get many kids. I have also thought about buying a replica mask (skeleton). Would be fun! Watch the magic pumpkin!
Nice! Because I am such a fan of the first three Halloween movies, in particular, I watch Trick R' Treat on the 30th every year, if I'm available.
Happy Halloween to all Halloween and Harold fans!
Sorry, I was actually trying to respond to the OP and just hit the response to you because you were the last in the thread at the time. Still figuring out the rules / workings of the site!
Original: fate scene, when Allyson is in class, and the obvious archive footage of judith's death
II: When he's wandering around the neighborhood and steals a knife (yes, but to expound on this, we have the kid with the boom box running into michael (literally), Ms. Elrod (making the ham sandwich with mayo and mustard on the counter, with michael stealing her knife), and the drunk kid in the dude's yard (who gets hung from the fence post) calling michael "mr. elrod"
III: Masks are shown in one scene
4: gas station layout and ice machine
5
6: (SPOILERS)
the doctor's betrayal reminded me immediately of the cult of thorn protecting michael
H20: alcohol as you mentioned, and bathroom scene
Resurrection: truck at the gas station said it was from resurrection church, or something like that
remake: aged mask
2: the bus crash and subsequent pick-up truck scene
Absolutely! And also, the more I sit with 2018, the more I like it. Yes, it isn't perfect, but I thought it was an excellent entry to the franchise!
Changing my original opinion to quite satisfied. I thought it was a mostly great film. One major flaw, but everything else was excellent, so much so that I could overlook the plot flaw! Worthwhile sequel, especially considering some of the junk that has been made in the past (which I still love!). Sitting with it in my head for a few days has helped me to like it even more (which, while not a guarantee, is typical of me - I don't judge a movie on one viewing all the time and need to think on it for a while).
I honestly don't remember her "putting up a fight" to get him off her. I remember her saying a vehement "no" but not fighting him off. He was drunk / high, yes, but he was trying to make a move and failed. Not assault. Damn, so many women want the men to make the first move, but if the wrong guy does, it is assault! Thank god I'm past the dating phase and happily married! I would be single for life if I had to deal with the current dating mood! I'm shy enough as it is without all that!
Ha, good point! Most wouldn't know it so perhaps Laurie doesn't even know it (unlikely!)! Still, the only other parts are that Mike isn't burned and they only credit him with 5 kills. It does confuse me a bit that he would be so well remembered for 5 kills... But, again, the Judith angle probably helps the mythos even in this timeline!
