Not really, its a coming of age drama but aside from the period scene the themes can apply to just about anyone. I don’t really see it as a family film either, sure the content isn’t anything all that objectionable but it’s actually a lot deeper than one might think and many of the psychological elements might go straight over kids heads. Vada wanted her dads attention, Shelly was stealing it from her perspective. I would have preferred artists such as Led Zeppelin but I understand why they chose the music they did. She probably saw that one of her dads “clients” had died from choking on a chicken bone. Throughout the whole movie she was acting like she was dying because she was confused about death and I think she was trying to get her dads attention who didn’t talk to her because he either didn’t know what to do with her or talking about her mothers death was too painful. At the end she learned how to deal with death and her father opened up to her which is why she finally swallowed the chicken bone. I think it gave them comfort to have someone they trusted handling the funeral I personally didn’t have a problem with the uzi scene , like you said Bond villains shouldn’t be portrayed as nice guys. I think at the time however the Moore era was considered to be more campy and light hearted than the previous films and they felt the scene came out of nowhere and was tonally inconsistent with the rest of the film (especially when earlier in the film we had Bond snowboarding to California Girls) and what came before it. I disagree, it was well within Zorins character to do that. Hank went out like a bitch, what went through his head to make him think he actually stood s chance against Todd and the Nazis? His arrogant ass deserved to die. The only three that I truly hate are Quantum of Solace, Moonraker and Diamonds Are Forever. A View To A Kill is a middle of the road Bond film. As for For Your Eyes Only it’s my second favorite Not even close Neither were bad movies, Episode VII and VIII along with the anthology films were horrible. Yeah the family was terrible to him, especially Buzz and Uncle Frank but Kevin was still a brat Pretending. Because she was annoying just like every other character. I'm not saying that Full House had much going for it to begin with but do you seriously think anyone would tune in to watch a show that centered around a man getting divorced and nothing else? Actually now that I think about it I kind of wish they had gone that route, assuming the show was picked up to begin with it definitely would have been cancelled after one season and then it would have faded into oblivion. I've only seen Toy Story 3 and Despicable Me but Despicable Me is much better than Toy Story 3. The minions are awesome, however I wouldn't want them chopping down my door with an axe and then come in spraying a fire hose. Just saying. What the guy said is not your concern hat is correct, I don’t think I ever said it was your job to correct him. I am pointing out that this is proof that most Nolan haters are stupid. The reason I am still talking to you is because I recognize you have beyond a 3rd grade reading level and you aren’t a complete waste of time like bigbadwolf who can’t even compose a logical sentence. It seems I was right all along Yes it’s Ira, Todd’s old boss. Why? It was established in breaking bad that they are ultimate badass.
