I have to say they were kind of adorable, though, especially in their 5 year old incarnations.
Nothing went wrong. It was a damn entertaining movie, thematically in keeping with classic Star Trek, and the movie that most closely captures the feel of the original series.

I thought it was the weakest scene. They clearly could have gotten off their bikes at any point and ducked down one of the trails in Zion. They are shown riding right past turnouts in order to stay in the car's path.
Never saw the remake. I hated the original; Alfie was just a blank hedonist with no depth. Maybe that was the point, but so what?
