I don't think that matters. If the point you are trying to make is that Peter Parker identity is now known to these villains, well it already was, that is who the spell was bringing across, every single villain that already knows Peter Parker is spiderman. That's every villain from across the multiverse so considering in most iterations of Spider-Man a lot of his villains figure out who he is, this is going to mean that you will see a lot of villains from across the multiverse crossing over. Not to mention after the first event had freaking dragons, to then go to staring at a lake and a maze, really lackluster. People watch races sure but considering these were all life threatening events with seemingly a decent bit of action and suspense, doesn't feel like something people who are ok with watching water do nothing and a maze do nothing for an hour would come too or the type of people who would be interested in watching nothing for an hour. That would make sense, if this season didn’t start right where the last one left off, so there has been time for him to gain that weight in the continuity of the show, and in the show he was still quite active because he was trying to keep strong from his back injury. It’s really noticeable and kinda feels like he isn’t caring much about the show since he doesn’t appear to be the main focus anymore like it felt for the first couple season, so he’s let himself go and no one cares. That's it the premise itself isn't bad and can easily succeed. The movie just became a complete and utter mess though, it was like the director had ADD and kept throwing different plot points and ideas into the mix never fully landing on one. It tried to be smarter than it was and confused itself to the point by the end yeah it's like wtf did I just watch Yet she still stays and then “falls in love” with him. She’s played off as the bad one not him because awww he’s just trying to find love but he’s not attractive enough that’s all. Yeah it's a really weird movie and in the times of MeToo I'm kind of surprised this hasn't gotten some backlash. The guy is constantly portrayed as the victim in some weird incel type vibe of "Oh no woman wants me because all they go for is looks so I had to do this" it's yeah pretty messed up, especially when we see his profile pics later and they are horrible because as the girl said they make him look like a serial killer, no girl is liking the guy whose main photo is him holding an ax in front of him and rope in another. I was waiting for the moment where Josh really gets called out for everything and he never does, it's all awww poor guy, rather than, dude wtf are you doing this is so wrong you are disgusting and you need to get help what you did is a massive violation and you should be ashamed. The guy was obviously not a normal being and magic did not surprise anyone. Hearing the rules it would be super simple to pass this without dying in a years time. The set up completely puts the movie on the back foot from the start because the main character is being shown as well being incredibly dumb. By focusing on being all artsy it loses any real motivation for a compelling story because why root for someone who easily could have avoided their fate. I get what going for and you are right. But also get what the OP is saying too. While we don’t need it to be super deep, it was really poorly handled in the show when they did do the geopolitical stuff and honestly I feel I need to rewatch it to actually understand what it was all about cause was so choppy and just badly written. As you said you need some of it for world building. The some we did get in this though seemed to bring the world building down and felt just bad. Literally every news report about this has stated this literally two seconds of googling brings up how Scarjos lawyers have written confirmation from Disney stating that should it be released on D+ they will renegotiate the contract. That’s literally been the main driving home point with this case because they have so much on their side of “Disney tried to fuck us here” and why Disney is acting ScarJos character. Yes they do, only one that doesn’t seem to want too is you since you keep trying to defend Disney when literally everyone has pointed out to you that Disney is in fact the bad guys here like 90% of the other times they’ve gotten bad press. The public cares the care just doesn’t last long once it’s not in the news anymore. Fans had been pushing for her solo movie way more than ScarJo ever did. Hell pretty much when she made the comment about Budapest fans latched to that and had been wanting a movie around that. Also considering they have done this with other films and other actresses are now looking at suing it’s seeming way more like Disney just trying to get out of paying people and being dodgy with contracts and agreements. Pre-covid Scarjo was worried about D+ and BW being released on their, her contract guarantees that won’t happen but then got written confirmation that if they did go down that road they would renegotiate her contract. When her team found out that yes indeed it was getting a same day release on D+ they reached out to Disney and Disney ignored them, forcing them to make a lawsuit. Disney is trying to paint ScarJo as being greedy and not caring about COVID. When that’s not true at all and she was merely doing exactly what Disney had agreed they would be doing aka renegotiating her contract if it did get released on D+ Not to mention Disney does not care about COVID they have opened parks and releases during peak covid times and locations so they are merely saying that to try and muddy the waters and set up a case for an act of god to show why they breached their agreement with ScarJo. Disney is 100% the ones in the wrong here. The contract was made ages ago and ScarJo got written confirmation that if it was released on D+ they would renegotiate the contract. There was nothing stopping it being released on there but they had put an agreement in place if it was they would have to renegotiate her contract. Which they didn’t and chose to ignore when contacted about it. Seems the same thing has happened with cruella since Emma stone is now Apprently looking into it and Emily blunt might be as well. Seems they have not updated contracts and been upfront with what’s looking more and more like female stars. It’s really not though, when you have high up marvel people and high up people within the industry calling Disney out on this it’s very telling that Disney cut a lot of people out of these conversations and are trying to push their luck because they are use to winning or dragging out their legal battles. People are going against Disney because they have a very long history of being slimy when comes to legal stuff and they had been abusing copyright laws for years and screwed many people over. Fact is they also were the ones to come out attack ScarJo personally rather than keeping it to purely legal basis. The public are on the side of the actresses here because Disney is obviously trying to pull shady shit and see if they get away with it. Scarjos lawyers are saying that before even anything was happening with covid she got told it would only release in cinemas, but if it did realise on D+ they would renegotiate her contract. Scarjo was worried about that so made sure to bring it up in negeotion talks. This is stated to have been confirmed in written format that they would renegotiate the contract if it went out on D+ When it was released on there at the same time as in theatres the lawyers reached out and were ignored. So now we have the lawsuit. There is no way Scarjo is suing if the case isn’t ironclad. Her lawyers and Hollywood in general are smart enough to know you don’t go after the mouse unless your case is really strong and even then you need the money to back it as well. The fact a lot of people are on Scarjos side including Feige is highly telling that yes current higher ups in Disney did screw this and go back on deals. I honestly thought they were going to do a twist where the pregnant chick actually dies. But nope just cliche after cliche. Exactly this. The fact that future wasn’t changing shows different timelines. It’s like in DBZ when future trunks goes back in time. He knows his future will stay the same but wants to prevent it happening to other futures. What this movie was doing was dragging people from the past to the future which honestly doesn’t make sense and doesn’t feel like any nation would send troops to help once that death toll came back. Like hell it took them a couple days to figure out where the aliens originate. Your telling me future people hadn’t already figured that out? They were obviously studying them so they Defs would have discovered this. Or hell would have sent samples back for us to study. It’s a fun movie but if you think about it for more than a minute you start realising the plot makes no sense. Most of its alright, kill some time kind of show. But the last two episodes really amp up the stupidity and goes completely off the rails. Because of that, honestly it’s worth giving a miss. Yeah exactly it’s pretty lackluster and the movies wastes so much time before anything really happens as well. Why give all the drama of the brother holding up with his brothers gf. Honestly it would have played out better if wasn’t a horror and just this movie about these two trying to keep their affair hidden but the creepy racist has footage so gives the tenseness of oh shit now what happens?!? If just going to be some random no faced killer then make movie more focused on that and make the characters more likeable and fun. The brother and partner are aholes, the younger brother just comes across to needy and just sad and the wife kinda felt like got to annoyed at shit that is also on her and then tries to hard. No character really felt like you cared enough about them to really care if they died. Fact still remains this was done in the comics and it raised the popularity of Falcons character. Also in the comics it went to Bucky first because Cap died and knew Bucky would need an anchor to not fall back into being the winter soldier. In this Cap was alive and aged, which was exactly what happened in the comics when he passed the mantle to Falcon. Yeah did feel like the show was really suppose to be mainly focused on Bucky and Falcon but then realised they need to give villains and screen time to said villains. It’s like show would remember oh right bad guy stuff we should throw some of those scenes in. Like says a lot when one of fav moments in the entire show is just the parts of Bucky and Sam working in the boat and that character building between them. Fake cap, terrorist, power broker just didn’t really care for that and once Zemo was gone from the hunting for the bad guys cared even less. No they did it because it was done in the comics years ago.
