"These beings traveled light years to get to our planet and you think they won't find you a few towns over"
But the parents didn't know what was causing the strange occurrences at first, yet they still stayed.
So does this mean that Mrs. Marrable expects her bowel movements to be punctual and "arrive on time" as well?! lol
The speed with which she suddenly excused herself from the table indicates to me that her bowels had already started moving :-)
the old man kept the clown suit instead of burying it or tossing it in the ocean because he didn't want someone to find it.
Burying it or anchoring it and throwing it into the ocean would have been better than leaving it in a house that he knew would have its contents examined for an estate sale. That entire scene was weird. The girl begs to be let back in the car, then says "What are you doing?" as the mom tried to pull her back in. Then she sees the police lights, screams, then runs away in the opposite direction into unknown danger. WTF? And how does the mom get away without explaining why she put the girl in danger?
She hadn't called the police but maybe one of the hundred or so people at Chuck E Cheese did?
But why would a policeman end up on a narrow dirt road out in the middle of a forest? And how did she get out of explaining what she did to the girl? Kent showed everyone the shoulder injury first. He showed the tied up man in the car after they followed him outside and after his explanation. All murderers think their victims are undeserving to continue life. But the world would be better off killing the deluded person who's willing to kill 5 unknown kids, than to kill 5 kids who you think are undeserving. Children have been subjected to grisly pain, suffering and death in many horror movies. * A Quiet Place * Orphan * Halloween 3 * Mimic * The Exorcist * Dawn of the Dead * Voodoo Island Just to name a few.
She was asleep!! She woke up and said this isn't where I live!
But she didn't notice it wasn't her address until she stepped out of the car first. Arkin also could have made his process of elimination easier by excluding those entomologists who were female, black, Asian, or those over 55. Don't forget that some posters thought the killer was displaying all those athletic super ninja skills while wearing a flame-retardant suit. They obviously have never seen what a flame-retardant suit looks like.
Pretty sure he had a flame retardant outfit
Flame-retardant suits aren't lightweight enough to fit like leotards, and don't allow the freedom of movement to fight like a kung-fu master while wearing one.
and no one shoots at him while he is roasting the "senator" b4 the monster came out.
Why would anyone in their right mind risk firing bullets on someone wielding a powerful flamethrower that can reach more than 30 feet? All he had to do was turn in their direction and they'd be toast. And it's not as though their bullets had been effective at that point anyway. I was under the impression that the slug was used when transferring to a living body to have the option of forcing the mouth open and keeping it open (as with the dog). The light ray was used to transfer to a dead body that would be compliant during the transfer.
Or when the alien, while inside the older guy, smashes the stereo that was playing a song about sunshine and happiness.
I thought he smashed it because he didn't like the country music.
The way that guy's body bounces off the car and hits the street -- ouch!
The funny part was the nurse quickly abandoning her wheelchair patient to allow him to be hit by the car. Beck's wife was in for a shock when she discovers that her husband has no memory of their life together. It would be like being married to someone with a face transplant from your husband. I was under the impression that the slug was used when transferring to a live body that might need to be forced under control. The ray of energy was used for transfer to a dead body that would offer no resistance. You're overthinking this. The good-guy/bad-guy body substitutions weren't the same. Perhaps the writers simply wanted to use a slug when taking over a living body, and required a ray of light when taking over a dead body. A dead body would offer no resistance so no need for a physical incarnation.
but what a dumbass line.
Especially since he just watched the armed guy recklessly blow away multiple people.
