The wife was actually acting good until..

.. she reacted to the bully kid's death.

She was like "oh what a nasty smell, that kid's intestines are shattered. No biggie, lets carry on"

...wtf lol

YES! I noticed that too. I differ from your opinion that the actress was good up to that point. I thought she was flat all the way through. In her scenes, I felt like I was watching a soap opera

You're such a mess, the train wreck stops to watch you!

reply

Ahaha yeah, to be fair, she was always quite average/mediocre. You're totally right

reply

Yes, she is a bad actress, very flat, no emotions, no personality or character. Delivered lines flat. Husband/Clown was much better actor.

The mothers acting was horrible in this movie! I liked Clowed but she definitely spoiled it for me with her bland reactions. Your husband is morphing into a demon and is eating kids where the *beep* is your emotion?

reply

I think the directions were that it was something too traumatic to see, there was no real way to react I would probably just be frozen and unable to digest whats going on, I though her acting while driving the girl home was the best along with the father in the first act. The character just like someone in real life would, was unable to just let go of a person she loved and wanted to be with forever, kind of like someone not letting go of a brain dead patient. It is just too hard to face death that close that you would rather if there is any hope at all wait for a miracle, I though her acting was *beep* decent and I will defend her in this particular scenario. The kids were atrocious bring the kid from the Babadook to kick clown ass.

reply

Yes I thought that was ridiculous too! As if the bad smell was a bigger deal than the dead kid lying on the floor .. Haha. She really p*ssed me off when she was actually prepared to kill a kid too to help her husband and "get him back" even though he would have been going straight to jail anyway! Also when she did drop the little girl "home" and the girl got out of the car without even looking out of a window and actually noticing she definetley wasn't home! Lol ... And we heard police sirens at the end, not sure how they turned up when the stupid mother hadn't even bothered to call them .

reply

She hadn't called the police but maybe one of the hundred or so people at Chuck E Cheese did? Just a thought.

But why would a policeman end up on a narrow dirt road out in the middle of a forest? And how did she get out of explaining what she did to the girl?

reply

I actually appreciated her reactions. I get so incredibly irritated with most movies portraying women as screaming, crying, overactors. It was a relief to get on with the movie without wasting time on over-the-top emotions. She seemed to think more than react.

reply

I agree, especially when it makes them basically useless in the movie. I've seen too many die because they were so busy screaming and crying when they should have been doing something to try to survive.

I thought the same thing!! She looked like she walked in to a dog pooping on a rug! Not an obliterated half a child's corpse

reply

Not saying her acting was good but after being the mom of a bullied kid, whenever her former bully had something bad happen I couldn't help but laugh inside. I know it's wrong but my momma bear comes out and I'm glad she is sad because she caused so much pain for my daughter.

reply

Can you blame her? That demon is on a diet of only 5 kids for the winter and he wasted an entire half of that one. Even he couldn't stand it.
